Why are boys so hard? Help!

This is our 2nd baby due in a couple of weeks. We have a little girl called eliza.

We can't seem to find a boys name We love. I feel like I've looked at thousands of names and none just feel right.

We don't like anything super popular like top 10, nothing too surname like or American sounding.

The few we like and can agree on currently are:

Elliot/Elliott (my preferred one)
Max (husbands preferred - I'm not sure)
Jasper (next door neighbour has called her cat this though 😭)
Owen

Anyone suggest anything that might jump out at me?

I can't help but I'm in the same boat. Having a boy next month after two very easy to name girls and I think I hate all boys names!

My favourites are Jacob, Edward (Teddy), Benedict, Vincent, Eddison, Miles, Peter, Felix, Dylan, Jude

Max is nice how about Miles?

I wouldn't worry at all about your neighbours cat if it's a name you both like and agree on.

I like Owen. Not at all common and it sounds good with Eliza.

I’m in the same boat too, due second boy soon and I’m really struggling to find a name I love. I’ve only ever really liked the name Max, so naming first DS was easy.

I’m also finding it hard because everyone I know seems to have boys, so any name I like seems to be already taken.

I think Elliot is lovely, I love Max (biased) and I love Jasper. Sadly I can’t use Elliot or Jasper

Owen is lovely and flows nicely when said with Eliza, which doesn't actually matter in the grand scheme of things but is helpful when you say the names together a lot.

I agree with a previous poster I wouldn't use Elliott with Eliza they sound too similar.

we have an Alexander and if our 2nd is a boy, current favourite is Andrew.

I like Harris, Cameron and Callum too but DH doesn't like any of those.

In lreland we spell Owen EOIN ..pronounced the same.
Prefer that spelling and it goes lovely with Eliza.

I have suggested Cameron and callum before too... hubby doesn't hate them. I quite like Cameron. I also like Toby but surname is a T and not sure on alliteration.

I also worried if elliot and eliza where to similar 🤔

What about Campbell?

I have a Milo and a few people said 'I had a dog with that name' that's nice but it's not a dogs name. My mums cats are called Alfie, Daisy and Nico. They're not cat names.

I used to really like Elliot and am thankful I had girls and didn't get to use it as the name irritates the life out me now.
I like Owen the most out of your names.
How about Sean or Michael?

Really like both Max and Owen with Eliza
