I think it’s lovely. For me it has a very strong religious connotation, I would assume Josiah’s parents were quite devout.

I'd also assume it was picked by very religious parents. Gives me hellfire and brimstone vibes.

I too would assume devout Christian. It’s got Puritan/Amish kind of vibes for me.

I love it but I'm a Christian and would be very surprised if the parents of a little Josiah weren't!

Josiah Bartlett I think was the name of the President of the USA in West Wing tv series played by Martin Sheen. The fictional character was a Democrat and a Roman Catholic from an old New England family, went to prep school and Notre Dame University. For what it’s worth!

I know one. Devout Christian parents. Not to my taste but I love Joss.

Puritan or American vibes (same thing, really). Slightly dated style of name in the UK - unless you’re devout Christians. It’s better than Jonah or Joshua, though. I quite like it. I think Josiah Wedgwood, too.
