I knew a Merran. Nice name but she did have loads of problems with people thinking she said Mary or having to repeat/spell it out a lot!

I think it’s lovely and won’t date at all. I also quite like Kerryn.
People can mishear anything — I have endless trouble with my birthdate at the doctors etc — I’m told I enunciate clearly yet First is regularly misheard as Third or Fifth. So unless the names is really strange it isn’t worth taking that factor into account

Lovely name, easy to pronounce based on the spelling. I'm pretty sure it isn't unisex, though, as it's after a female saint? Same origin as the name Muirrean in Irish and Scottish Gaelic, iirc.

I love it and think it can either sound sweet or strong, so it will adapt to her personality.

It's a lovely name. I know someone whose surname it was, she used it as her daughter's middle name.

Love it, but I am biased as I one I know is one of my best friends ever.I do really like it anyway though!

I think it's a great name but isn't it the name of the baby in Catastrophe where the joke is no one can pronounce it, even the dad? But that's probably more to do with the Irish accent so maybe it depends on what your accent is?

It's lovely though and looks nice written down so it's a yes from me.

I've never heard of this name, or met one. It sounds a bit like Muireann, which is nice enough.
