Hi there,

Looking for some suggestions. My husband & I are struggling this time. We both have names we love but nothing we can mutually agree on. Would love some inspiration.

Thanks

Marine?

Sylvie is lovely too, but apparently, it's considered a middle-aged name in France. You seem to be going for French names only?

Coralie? (not sure how that is currently rated over there though)

Zoe
Chloe (can't type accents)

Has to be French or will be weird.

Vivienne or Genevieve, the sounds at the end of the names complement your other 2.

I like Noemie but I think it's too similar to Elodie.

@MotherOfKitten Genevieve was on our shortlist with Elodie but we’re just not sure about it this time.

Meredith was my first thought.

Other names:
Juliette
Rosamund
Felicity
Hester
Elizabeth

Jessamine is very pretty, is it currently used in France?

I would have said Heloise (which is pronounced the same as Eloise I think), but it's too close to Elodie.

Lucie
Estelle

Also love pp's suggestion of Madeleine.

How about a hyphenated name like Marie-Claire, or are they considered old fashioned in France now?

Apologies for lack of accents in my typing, I don't know how to put them in.

(Yes, I know it's not French but it was the first thing off my tongue when I read the other names!)

@PollyannaWhittier I do quite like Elise but I don’t think it works with Elodie.

@Pemba My husband likes Sylvie but I associate it with a family friend that is very old. We’re in England by the way but my mother’s family are french speaking, hence the french names.

@MerryMarigold I was hoping for for French suggestions. Genevieve is one of my personal favourites but I have a thing about siblings sharing initials lol.
