Zohreh is beautiful and memorable.

My neighbour is Haleh, although when she was still at school everyone called her Holly. I'm glad when she became an adult she reverted back to her proper name, I think it's nice.

buzzy1 · 29/09/2021 18:26

Nahideh is nice and easy to say

I have an Iranian friend called Katayoun. I've always thought it a pretty name but I've no other reference for it, so for all I know it could be considered really old-fashioned in Iran.

I've doubled the 'a's where the sound is 'aa' like in 'aardvark' so people understand the phonetic pronunciation.

StColumbofNavron · 03/10/2021 11:33

Parisa and Shirin as suggested by others are utterly beautiful.

KhalliWhalli · 03/10/2021 11:36

@Winterwinter54

Thanks everyone for these amazing suggestions! How would Zohreh be pronounced?
Zawh - reh (with a soft h pronounced both times).

Personally my favourite Persian girl's names are Niloufar and Sepideh.

Winterwinter54 · 04/10/2021 22:35

@CaribouCarafe Thanks! I really like the name Sepideh too.
