Baby name suggestions for surname Darling

My partner and I haven't found out the sex of the baby but he or she is due in a few weeks and we are still stuck with baby names... we don't really like the typical UK names but don't want something too out there that he/she will be bullied over.

From your list, Olive is nice. The others strike me as place names.

I like River for a boy.

Sorrel or Saffron for a girl maybe. Or Skye.

I know a few Darlings (two different sets if you can believe it). I do think traditional British names go the best. You already have a noun for a last name so I think a noun for a first name is a lot. Because it will all sound like answers to questions.

What about nice non-British names? Noor, Matteo, Valeria, Femi, Santiago? Unusual but not nouns. Are you British and/or do you have any other cultural heritage?
