Margot, Violet or Dorothy?

Which would you go for? I’m slightly concerned about popularity of the first two. I like the nickname potential of Dorothy, although maybe both Dolly and Dotty are slightly silly? Will probably use one as a first and one as a middle name.

OP - have you considered Audrey? Same vintage style as Violet, Margot and Dorothy but feels a bit less dowdy to me (thanks to Hepburn). Violet Audrey would be nice imo.

@IamnotwhouthinkIam I like Audrey, DH has vetoed it as it is an ex girlfriend’s name so I can’t really argue with that!! I also like Edith as it is a family name and I like Edie as a nickname, but again this has been vetoed…
Interesting that some people are meeting multiple small Margots! That’s what I’m worried about with it to be honest, as i don’t think anyone was really called it before Margot Robbie, except as a nn for Margaret like the princess. Oh well, this is keeping me busy while I wait for baby, thanks for comments.

Violet

Margot is extremely popular where I live.

Baby Dd was very nearly Dorothy. I absolutely love it. We changed our minds at the last minute but i sometimes think she’d of made a good Dorothy! Grin

I would go for Dorothy violet is a gorgeous name!!
