We can’t decide between Ivy and Maya (May-a) which one do you prefer?

Maya spelt like that is pronounced like MY-A which wIll lead to confusion. Plus mia, Maya, Maia, mya are ten a penny.

Ivy only because of the spelling/pronunciation, they're both great names

I'm not keen on either of them but if I had to pick one I'd pick Ivy.

Maya has the is it May-ah or My-ah issue and if you add all the Maya, Maia, Mya, Mia, May, Mae, Maeve type names is becomes a bit meh.

Love Maya pronounced May-a. I tend to like names with soft flowing sounds rather than more staccato.

There are so many Ivy's, it's higher on baby name lists than Maya. It makes me think IV bag.

I don't like either. I have known two people in my life called ivy both great aunts. It's just such a frumpy name.

Maya is very pretty, especially with that pronunciation (it reminds me of the Greek Goddess Maia).

I'm not a fan of Ivy - it's very trendy now and likely to date.

I agree with that actually, all the ones I've ever met, including a few dogs, have been pronounced My-ah.

I agree with the pronunciation issues with Maya but I’m assuming once you have corrected people once then it sticks, well I’m hoping anyway. I haven’t found anything I like as much annoyingly.
