Two days to go - but which name??

Booked in for a c-section this week and still can't decide on a name! I think we've narrowed it down to these two, but which one? It's starting to drive me insane...

Imogen
Phoebe

DH also really likes Sabrina, but I think it's too similar sounding to our daughter's name, and I prefer the other two names I think, despite their popularity.

Please help!

Both are nice. Which one of the two does your DH prefer?

stellarfox · 06/07/2021 12:05

Wait until you meet her to decide! Both lovely names

HoldingTheDoor · 06/07/2021 12:06

Imogen.

Granohlaa · 06/07/2021 12:06

Wait until you meet her 🙂

PattyPan · 06/07/2021 12:07

I prefer Imogen but I’d wait until she’s here at this point before deciding. Good luck! Smile

Theoldwoman · 06/07/2021 12:08

100% Phoebe!

Vodkabulary · 06/07/2021 12:08

Imogen

I'm having a c section on Friday and if it's a girl
we'll be calling her Phoebe! It's a beautiful name.

No preference - he likes them both equally 🤦‍♀️

Imogen and Phoebe are both lovely, classic names.

Not keen on Sabrina.

Lowrylake · 06/07/2021 12:20

And you guys are right - we should just wait and see which name suits her when she arrives. But if I don't focus on names I'll only start worrying about something else 😄

I agree with the others then, wait until she's here. With DD we didn't have a Girl's name. DH held her and said "what about BabyBunny?" and we both knew it was perfect Smile

You could start manically doing all of the washing and eating sandwiches until you are fit to burst which is what I did Smile

Imogen. Love it! Lots of nickname potential too. Imo, Immy, Mo, Gin, Ginny... Moomin?!

Laci3Pound · 06/07/2021 12:27

Both are nice but I prefer Phoebe. Every time I hear the name Imogen I think of the girl from big brother who had an affair with Ryan Giggs. On twitter everyone was writing "Ryan Giggs has taken out a superinjunction, I can't Imogen why". Grin

Vikingintraining · 06/07/2021 12:36

Phoebe!

Cbeebiesrehab · 06/07/2021 12:40

Imogen with the diminutive Ginny!

Maggiesfarm · 06/07/2021 12:47

People I have known called 'Imogen' have always been known as 'Imo', or their full name. Ginny is from Virginia, surely.

romdowa · 06/07/2021 12:48

Sabrina or phoebe are lovely! Not a fan of imogen.

freelions · 06/07/2021 12:51

Both lovely names but think I marginally prefer Phoebe

Which one sounds better with your surname

Mydogisagentleman · 06/07/2021 12:55

Imogen.
dD was real bullied by a girl called Phoebe which has put me off.
Mind you, same for Lauren, Izzy, Becky, Ethan… she had a hard childhood

Emimummy · 06/07/2021 12:58

I'd keep thinking of Sabrina The Teenage Witch (my fave TV show as a young girl!). Imogen is a very nice name

woodfort · 06/07/2021 13:17

Oh I love both! Probably Imogen edges it (just) for me.

thebattleofschrutefarms · 06/07/2021 13:18

Imogen. One of my favourite names.
