Hi everyone,

We are expecting a little baby girl and we both love the name Chloe. We like fairly traditional names (have a little boy called Jack) we know Chloe used to be very/overly popular but it's far less used now, which should mean there's not 3 other Chloe's in the class :-)

Would love to hear some opinions!

Love it

It's on my list if one day I have a dd,

Handoverthechocollate · 27/06/2021 10:00

Sweet name! There's a perfume called chloe that smells divine!

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 27/06/2021 10:09

Very 90s/00s. Probably not old enough to be due a revival. In future it will feel like being a 25yr old Sue/Karen/Pam/Angela would now.

Sawyersfishbiscuits · 27/06/2021 13:01

It's a sweet name. I think Chloe and Phoebe were both popular around the same time but such pretty names that it's not a problem at all to use them.

Arrierttyclock · 27/06/2021 13:13

Love Chloe

ScribblyBaller · 27/06/2021 13:29

I do think it's a pretty name but its extreme popularity in the 90s and its mid-table popularity today means there are a lot of adult and child Chloes about. And that puts me off it. Same situation with Sophie.

ScribblyBaller · 27/06/2021 13:30

Slightly less positive association is all the many Chloes on TOWIE but that’s on me for all the drivel I watch!

I used to love a bit of Towie and it's true that every second woman on the show was a Chloe Grin

ILoveShula · 27/06/2021 13:42

Dated. Will be Chlo.

Theoldwoman · 27/06/2021 14:21

I used to love the name Chloe, but have gone off it now, not because of its popularity (my kids have popular names) but because not one single Chloe I have come across is a nice person!

ILoveShula · 27/06/2021 14:51

I know a nice Chloe, butt she was Chloe a long time before the name became so popular.

I know lots of people with a DD called Chloe, usually Chlo.

ListenToChickens · 27/06/2021 18:23

My mum is in her 70s and called Chloë.

Probably very outing - I'm convinced she's the only Chloë of that age in the world.

Lots of people can't spell it. Other than that, the name seems to have served her well.

Ellmau · 27/06/2021 18:36

Very pretty.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 27/06/2021 18:54

Pretty name but very 90s and she’ll always be 20 years too young for her name.

Zhampagne · 28/06/2021 10:51

It has a lot in common with Jack. They make a logical pair.

Must have been very unusual back then!

Love it

Chloe is a classic name, not 90s at all.
Really? I’ve never met a Chloe over 50.
VettiyaIruken · 28/06/2021 11:39

It's nice

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 28/06/2021 11:46

Chloe is a classic name, not 90s at all.
It’s classical but I wouldn’t say it was classic. It was almost unheard of in the UK outside of classical literature before the 80s.

There is an excellent summary of its history here if you are interested.

Love it
Strongly considered it

EishetChayil · 29/06/2021 23:28

Jack and Chloe scream "late 90s".

Lockeddown88 · 01/07/2021 07:24

I am a Chloe from the 90’s 💁‍♀️ Taking into consideration how popular it used to be, I have not many Chloe’s in my lifetime! I love my name. And coincidentally I have also always loved the name Jack. Do it!
