100 % Ottilie, but I am biased! Ottie for short :)

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 21/06/2021 20:58

Cosima is by far the nicer of the two. I really dislike Ottilie and don't understand the appeal even slightly.

WaitinginVain · 21/06/2021 21:01

Absolutely Cosima.

garlictwist · 21/06/2021 21:02

Not keen on either but ottillie is the better of the two.

Nettleship · 21/06/2021 21:02

Cosima

Susie477 · 21/06/2021 21:03

Neither for me, but if I were forced to choose, Cosima is marginally less awful.

Solasum · 21/06/2021 21:09

Until a few years ago I had never met any of either. Now I know two or three of each. So I’d look elsewhere

Pattygonia · 21/06/2021 21:12

I think Ottolie particularly has become more popular recently (I know two born in last year), so if you were hoping for an unusual name, I wouldn’t pick that one.

DalPalak · 21/06/2021 21:12

Ottilie seems to be a marmite name. Personally, I dislike it. Cosima is much nicer.

toastofthetown · 21/06/2021 21:19

Cosima. Ottilie is getting very trendy. I know two born on the same day last year.

Littlefiendsusan · 21/06/2021 21:20

Cosima is beautiful.
I think Nigella Lawson's daughter is called Cosima but it's shortened to Mimi which is less lovely.

ScribblyBaller · 21/06/2021 21:24

Cosima.

Ottilie reminds me of otters and Utterly Butterly.

Anystarinthesky · 21/06/2021 21:25

Cosima

Jeezzzzzzz · 21/06/2021 21:36

Neither

kezziethegingercat · 21/06/2021 21:41

Ottilie

EishetChayil · 21/06/2021 22:06

They're both a bit pretentious, but Ottilie has a nicer sound. Cosima - presumably pronounced Cozzimer - is a bit snakey and unpleasant.

lemonsyellow · 21/06/2021 22:08

Cosima is lovely.
Ottilie is particularly horrid, to me.

21Flora · 21/06/2021 22:11

I know baby Cosima’s (Coco) and Otillie. Both definitely more common although Otillie more so.

TatianaBis · 21/06/2021 22:26

Cosima hands down. Ottilie is grim.

DramaAlpaca · 21/06/2021 23:32

Cosima for me, with diminutive Coco.

Ottilie is pretty if you happen to have a French accent, otherwise not so nice.

atracurious · 21/06/2021 23:32

Ottilie 100%

GlamGiraffe · 22/06/2021 00:07

Cosima. Its always been around. Ottilie is suddenly a fashionable name so will be if its time.

33feethighandrising · 22/06/2021 00:11

Ottilie

northstars · 22/06/2021 00:52

Ooh neither Sad

MadeOfStarStuff · 22/06/2021 07:42

Cosima, I really don’t like Ottillie at all, can’t understand the appeal
