If you’d had a girl/another girl, what name would you have used?

Just found out we are having a baby girl after two boys and I’m all into pretty girl names!! If you’d had a girl what would you have called her? Or what’s your favourite ever girl name?

As far as I know it’s pronounced Sa-yaa-ka.

Yes obviously these names are written in Japanese alphabet (kanji) but it’s impossible to read for most MNers I assume Grin and often the spelling of the same name might differ! DS was born here in Japan, has a traditionally European first name which is also on his birth certificate spelled in kanji characters, I know a lady here who has a son with exactly the same name as my son because she likes ‘western’ names, his name is spelled in a different kanji.

Kanji is originally Chinese btw but used in Japan alongside hiragana and katana (Japanese ‘alphabet’).

Ooh have two girls already and if I had a third, she would be Greta Elizabeth (nn. Gretchen or Gretch)

Other names I like but kinda don’t work with my pairs names are eilidh, Ellen and Agnes.

Other names I like but wouldn’t be thirds name - Tara, Hilda, Maggie or Iona

Probably would have used Cecily.
