Just found out we are having a baby girl after two boys and I’m all into pretty girl names!! If you’d had a girl what would you have called her? Or what’s your favourite ever girl name?

If DH didn’t have a say I would use Elise or Eloise. Also really like Florence and Celeste but he won’t go for either of those.

I also love the name Cassandra but it’s the name of DSis’ new dog so can’t use that!

I already have a Maya (My-Ah) and our shortlist for DC2 is Annie or Cecelia/Cecilia

Millie, dd1 was Emma but nicknamed Emmie from about 2-3.

raskolnikova · 31/05/2021 15:54

I have an Eliza. If I had another, she would be Rosa.

I really like Serena, Celeste and Esther but DH doesn't. We have danced around names like Penelope, Celeste and Luna but have had 2 boys so far!

Emmy93 · 31/05/2021 16:09

I also like the name callie but my partner is called callum and his nan used to call him callie 🤣 I'm 6 weeks pregnant and loving the name Ava atm but I do have a son called Alfie so not sure if it's to much 🤣

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 31/05/2021 16:12

If I'd had another daughter she would have been called Alia or Alix

Sexnotgender · 31/05/2021 16:16

I just had a girl and my final 2 names were Joy and Julia.

I picked Joy so if I had another girl she’d probably be Julia.

mynameisbrian · 31/05/2021 16:16

Heather or Grace

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 31/05/2021 16:19

I meant to also add Ariana

Thank you for all the lovely suggestions and sharing your names, and for the congratulations. I am SO excited. I have two boys who have quite classic but not ‘common’ if that makes sense? Can’t say as everyone knows them as a little duo.

There is a name I have been seeing everywhere- in films, books, randomly as we are shopping etc.

Do you guys prefer Evelyn or Avalyn as a middle name? It’s very important that I use it Smile

OP posts:
BasiliskStare · 31/05/2021 16:55

Evelyn

xprincessxjanetx · 31/05/2021 16:58

I have an Amelie Grace and a Violet Elizabeth Amanda (Amanda after my DM).

If Baby #6 is a girl I like Charlotte, Elsie, Jessica, Emma, Natalie, Madeleine among others.

BiBabbles · 31/05/2021 17:00

With my youngest, before we learned he was a DS2, I was strongly considering Leanora. It's still one of those names I've a fondness for that just never got used.

There was also Amery, Annora, Bethia, Celia, Chryssa(nthi), Halina, Reina, Reverie, Rhoda, Rosalie, Sonora, Valora to varying degrees of seriousness though I still like them. I clearly had a bit of an 'ora' thing going on Grin

BiBabbles · 31/05/2021 17:03

I prefer Evelyn to Avalyn, but prefer Avaline/Aveline which can be said either as -lyn or -line.
