If you’d had a girl/another girl, what name would you have used?

Just found out we are having a baby girl after two boys and I’m all into pretty girl names!! If you’d had a girl what would you have called her? Or what’s your favourite ever girl name?

@Awwlookatmybabyspider

Esmay. (I'd spell it that way so people didn't pronounce it Esmee.
I have an Esme (pronounced Esmay) but she is often called 'Esmee' so I agree with your spelling! (Or Esmae?)

My list for imaginary DD2:
Etienne
Isla
Iona
Vivienne
Violet (although this is DD1's middle name)
Eva / Eve

There are some gorgeous names on here that are complete food for thought.

The day before we had ds, dh and I finally agreed on Harriet nn Harri or Veronica nn Ronnie.

Although over the past 2 years dh has said he now dislikes them both 🤣

@xprincessxjanetx

I have an Amelie Grace and a Violet Elizabeth Amanda (Amanda after my DM).

If Baby #6 is a girl I like Charlotte, Elsie, Jessica, Emma, Natalie, Madeleine among others.

My imaginary DD2 would probably be Violet Elizabeth. Sometimes I think the Jyst William connection is too much but then realise a) it is in my head b) only for people older than about 50!

DD4 was to be Isabella (family name with significant meaning) until a scan showed a willy and we got a DS (was really hard to name him you would think it would be easy after 3 girls)

We struggled with our second girl. We had a list of agreed names but then couldn't agree or choose. My dh finally gave in and let me win 😂

I think it would be Sienna if we had another. I also like Freya now but not sure if dh likes it.

@musthavebeenlove

Sakura (cherry blossom in Japanese) Midori (green in Japanese) Yuki (snow in Japanese) Megumi (grace in Japanese) Sayaka (light in Japanese)
How are these pronounced, Sayaka especially is gorgeous but I don't know anything about the Japanese alphabet, has it been westernised as not using Japanese characters?
