Hi, I recently found out I'm having a boy and I'd like a name that's short and cute. Ideally I would like a name that isn't very popular and a little unheard of...but I know this is a challenge in itself. I would like to match my girl name Gia.

The names I have so far...
Hari
Charlie
Avi

Suggestions welcome! Thanks.

Its a Welsh name

John. I don’t know any Johns under 40. You could call him Johnny or John-John like JFK’s son if you wanted to cutesify it.

A short name is fine, but I wouldn't do cute. A 50 year old man with a cute name is well, not very cute!

@Musmerian

Actually, Hero is a boy's name of Greek origin meaning "demi-god".

Although Shakespeare did use it for a woman.

EssentialHummus · 27/05/2021 13:13

dogs it was very much a female name in the Greek myth too. No idea how/if it’s used in Greek today. I think it has masculine connotations because it ends with “o” and because, sadly, we think of a hero like a superhero being male, I don’t think that reflects the origin of the name.
