Naming my daughter Atlas?

I’m really starting to love Atlas for a little girl. Originally this was our boy name, and I still love it for a boy too. Could we use it for either gender? Big sister is Aurora.

Nope. Atlas is a big, burly bloke with a beard. Atalanta (not Atlanta - that’s a city in Georgia) works, though. Or Artemis.

I actually prefer Atlas to Aurora! But I don’t think you can name one daughter a frilly ultra girly name like Aurora and then name the other Atlas. It will look like you wanted DC2 to be a boy!

To make it a bit more feminine she could have the nn Lassie.

I prefer Atlanta on a girl, Atlas sounds masculine

So you give one DD a Disney name and call the other after a book of maps. Really unfair.
