How about Jenna? Feels a bit fresher and less dated than Gemma to me.

Skye is quite nice - how about Iona, Luna Lyra or Sienna?

JamieFrasersBigSwingingKilt · 08/04/2021 22:49

Gemma Brooke is the only decent option I'm afraid. Sorry to be so brutal but the others are pretty much celebrity children mash ups. Let your little girl have her own identity.

Alleyplus2 · 08/04/2021 22:56

Thanks for your opinion. I have no idea what that means celebrity mash ups - these were just names that name to my mind as i liked them..

I quite like Gemma Brooke.

Alleyplus2 · 08/04/2021 22:59

Thanks for the suggestions! Jenna is cute, I actually liked the 80s vibe of Gemma. I also like Lrya

Is Shea the same pronunciation as Shay?

Alleyplus2 · 08/04/2021 23:24

Yes

Jenna is absolutely awful! Gemma is much better

Synchrony · 08/04/2021 23:44

Gemma Brooke. I love the name Gemma!

Saltyslug · 08/04/2021 23:49

Jemima Skye

orangebay · 09/04/2021 00:34

Shea/shay is absolutely adorable. I don't know anyone with that in their name so haven't really heard of it before but it's great. Always loved Gemma but not heard of a baby been called in over 20 years and I'm not sure why because it's fab!

Alleyplus2 · 09/04/2021 02:16

Thanks for your thoughts :) I liked that Gemma isn't very current and to me sounds pretty but to each their own apparently. Everyones feedback is great.

I like Gemma, it does have an 80s vibe, but not in a bad way. Will be a refreshing change from the many Islas/Avas/Olivias.

I’m afraid I don’t like any of the other names though, sorry.

KoalaOok · 09/04/2021 05:23

Gemma Brooke or Gemma Skye

Amdone123 · 09/04/2021 05:54

Sorry I don't like any. Gemma and Brooke are so dated. I taught 2 Brooklyns, male and female, and whilst I don't like the Beckham attachment, it's growing on me. Both Brooklyns were delightful.

AnyaMoondial · 09/04/2021 06:05

Gemma Brooke is lovely.

Flymetothestars · 09/04/2021 07:45

I love the name Gemma. Really refreshing like you say x

stormelf · 09/04/2021 15:32

My favourites are Gemma Brooke and Brooke Sariah. Not keen on Brooklyne, not sure why though

DragonPoop · 09/04/2021 15:40

I like Gemma!
Gemma Skye is lovely!

MerryChristmasToYou · 09/04/2021 18:26

I quite like Gemma but don't like Jenna. Too Dallas and too Doctor Who.

Brooke and Brooklyn too american.

Rylie looks like a Kylie spelling of Riley/Reilly. Sariah like Mariah and Sarah combined.

Skye is ok, but depends on surname.

I'd go for Gemma Skye.

Shea - butter.

Tianatiers · 09/04/2021 18:27

Gemma Brooke is the only one I like.

Alleyplus2 · 09/04/2021 19:01

Thanks for all the suggestions.

What about;

Gemma Aurora

OP posts:
ILoveShula · 09/04/2021 19:14

Not Aurora. All I hear is Owowa.

Cwyyyyyy-ing over you! Cwy-ing, cwy-ing.

ILoveShula · 09/04/2021 19:14

Gemma Dawn is much nicer and less pwincessy

Spied · 09/04/2021 19:16

Brooklyn Skye
