Posted originally about a month ago asking whether people preferred Lucy or Heidi. Ive now extended my shortlisted...

Emilia (nickname Millie)
Eliza
Jemima
Eloise

Any thoughts please?

Lucy - really like
Heidi - nice
Emilia (nickname Millie) - it's nice but Amelia/Emilia confusion would put me off
Eliza - ok, but much prefer Elizabeth
Jemima - like
Eloise - not keen - too long and a bit of a mouthful

Probably Jemima with Lucy in 2nd place and Heidi in 3rd

I like Heidi and Eliza best

Lucy - a bit 'wet'
Heidi- lovely
Emilia- to join the many many thousands of others? No. And a bigger no to Millie for the same reason.
Eliza - prefer Elizabeth or Zara.
Jemima - infantile.
Eloise- lovely. Would fear Ellie as a nn. Prefer Louisa.

Of the others I only really like Eliza.

Still Heidi for me.

Amelias are two a penny. Eliza is ok, I dislike Elouise and Jemima is too twee for me.

Lucy - pretty, timeless, classic
Heidi - I'm not a fan, partly because (the book notwithstanding) the ones I've met have not been nice. The name itself is inoffensive
Emilia (nickname Millie) - I like this a lot
Eliza - lovely
Jemima - really gorgeous
Eloise - I'm really not a fan of this at all. Louisa is very pretty and stylish though.

Lucy! There aren't many about and it's strong yet feminine. I always think of someone brave and courageous, like Lucy from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Heidi is my favourite, with Lucy a close second.

Eliza is my least favourite.

I absolutely love Eloise- never realised it was a marmite name! To be honest I like your whole list but especially Eloise and Jemima.

My favourites are Eliza and Lucy, Both lovely. Jemima is quite sweet too. Emilia I like the least. Not sure it will matter to you but just so you know a Millie is an insult in Northern Ireland.

Jemima is my preferred option but much prefer Emily to Emilia as it sounds too forced (as does Eloise).
Not keen on the others.

Lucy is my favourite. Do you like Lucille?
There are lots of Emilias around at the moment so that's my least favourite.

You have 3 of my daughters names in your list so I obviously think you have good taste, only one I don't like is Jemima

Emilia is gorgeous but it getting confused with Amelia would bug me so I'd choose Jemima or Eloise, depending on which of the possible nn's Jem/Mima or Ellie/Lou you dislike least. I find Lucy and Heidi too cute and Eliza trendy, sorry.

Jemima - it’s lovely and unusual
Eliza - lovely, but quite a lot of them - would use Elizabeth on birth cert so she has options
Eloise - nice and unusual-ish, but high chance she’ll end up being called Ellie which is a bit dated and there are a lot of them
Emilia (nickname Millie) - so many of them, lovely but will date
Lucy - pretty but a bit little girl-ish, and been consistently popular since the 70s so doesn’t stand out
Heidi - the only one I really don’t like - makes me think of beer festivals/German porn stars/and that odd 80s kids Tv series (sorry..)

Eloise, Emilia & Lucy are my top 3 from your list.

Lucy and Eloise are my favourites.

I thoroughly dislike Heidi. It's both harsh and twee, not nice.
