Boys name - Spencer

I love the name Spencer! I wanted to choose it for my second child but my husband wasn’t having any of it. This time around he’s set on it!
What do you all think of the name?

I dislike it but mainly because the only one I've ever known was a complete arsehole

I don’t much like it, I think of it as a sort of 80s estate agent type name.

It’s the name of a very likeable character in the tv series I’m binging at the minute so I quite like it.

If you like it, use it. I'm not keen as I see it as a surname, but that's me.

I don't like it, mainly because it's a surname and I dislike surnames for names.
Seems too try - hard. I just think there are nicer names.

I know a baby Spencer. I’m not really a fan of the trend for surnames as first names. But if it was good enough for Spencer Perceval...

I think it's nice. I wouldn't choose it personally but I think it's different without being weird so if you love it too should definitely use it!

Thanks for the feedback! One of the reasons I love it is because it is different and divides people!! It goes really well with our surname, and my son is called Harrison so he has surname name too! I also think Harrison and Spencer sound great together as sibling names! Any more comments greatly received!!

If your husband has his heart set on it, and you love it, then definitely use it. I rather like it. Unusual, but not bonkers. A little baby Spencer would be cute, but it would work on a grown man too.

It's ok, but I just saw an episode of escape to the country where the couple had a little Spencer and they were quite an annoying couple. So obviously you can't use it now .

I do think it's a perfectly ok name. Nothing wrong with it and wouldn't raise an eyebrow.
