No ... but back in my 80s goth days I knew someone who nicknamed their car Morticia! Great name for a black cat.

Starlive23 · 16/03/2021 12:34

My black cat is named Wednesday! But Morticia is quite cool in its own way! Its a wee bit bonkers but if you like it go for it!

Pennywithabow · 16/03/2021 12:45

This borders on child cruelty Grin It’s up there with the hordes of kids called Khaleesi and Draco!

At least Khaleesi means queen. Morticia means mortis which is latin for death.
MrsSiriusBlack1 · 16/03/2021 13:05
Grin
Loopyloututu2 · 16/03/2021 13:06

Please don’t.

Pennywithabow · 16/03/2021 13:07

Khaleesi doesn’t mean queen when it comes to naming kids. It means “I am obsessed with Emilia Clarke in a blonde wig”.

Lammergeier · 16/03/2021 13:07

I am very Goth. Very, very Goth.

I would advise you don't call your child Morticia.

TurkeyTrot · 16/03/2021 13:09

Khaleesi didn't mean queen, it meant 'the king's whore'

Soubriquet · 16/03/2021 13:10

I’m sure every little girl once dreamed calling their baby Morticia or Wednesday

As an adult...no

Mortician....she would be asked how many dead bodies she had seen that day

TurkeyTrot · 16/03/2021 13:10

Morticia was a made up name for The Addams Family.

grapewine · 16/03/2021 13:10

Poor child. Just don't.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 16/03/2021 13:12

Please don't give in to temptation.

I once met someone who had a baby called Lilith. Hmm And yes, I did judge them.

merryhouse · 16/03/2021 13:13

No.

Soubriquet · 16/03/2021 13:15

I like Lilith Blush

And she can shorten it to Lily

At least it’s a real name

Gassylady · 16/03/2021 13:16

But Lilith is a biblical name! We’re they very religious?

Vursayles · 16/03/2021 13:29

Literally means “death”. Please don’t do this to your child!

Danutaisabully · 16/03/2021 13:31

Ooh, no.

TheVanguardSix · 16/03/2021 13:32

OP, put down the crack pipe.

SionnachRua · 16/03/2021 13:33

It's a bit like Jezebel. Cracking name but I couldn't do that to a child Grin

TheVanguardSix · 16/03/2021 13:34

Mind you... we had our own crack pipe going when I was pregnant with DD. I had to wrestle the name Jezebel out of the firm grasp of DH's wishes. He STILL says, 11 years later, "Maybe as a middle name... we could have used it as a middle name." Hmm

TheVanguardSix · 16/03/2021 13:34

Oh! Sionnach great minds! Grin

spiderlight · 16/03/2021 16:09

Just bear in mind that there's a good chance it will autocorrect to 'mortician'.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 16/03/2021 16:11

What about Mortician for a boy?

TaraR2020 · 16/03/2021 16:15

Just bear in mind that there's a good chance it will autocorrect to 'mortician'.
On the birth certificate? Grin Grin
