If you really don't like them, please don't comment as I really do and don't want them to feel spoilt as it's taken me ages to draw up a shortlist of names I like but order of preference and any thoughts that aren't mean would be welcome!

Jennie Ellen (especially spelling Jennie this way - I like it better but OH thinks it is "chavvy" and should be spelt Jenny).
Anna Frances
Evelyn Louisa

Ah these are all lovely! 😍 We must have similar taste in names!
In terms of preference I'd leave them in exactly this order - though I would agree with your OH that Jenny is better than Jennie. She'd spend her life correcting people otherwise!

Vursayles · 13/03/2021 18:43

Anna Frances is definitely the best. Evelyn Louisa second. I don’t think Jennie and Ellen go together but they are fine names in themselves.

DramaAlpaca · 13/03/2021 18:44

Anna Frances is my favourite, followed by Evelyn Louisa.

I'm not bothered about which spelling of Jennie/Jenny, both are fine. I'd just much prefer Jennifer on the birth certificate because I love it. I have to say I don't like Ellen though, it's very frumpy to me (sorry). Also Jenny/Jennie Ellen doesn't flow as well as your other combinations. Jennifer Ellen flows well though.

NCkitchen · 13/03/2021 18:53

I like Evelyn Louisa

Could I suggest Anna Louisa? Has a lovely ring to it :-)

EssentialHummus · 13/03/2021 18:55

Anna Frances for me, beautiful.

ChelseaCat · 13/03/2021 18:55

I think Evelyn Frances sounds lovely

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 13/03/2021 18:56

Jennie or Anna

Not Evelyn

Justbegoofy · 13/03/2021 18:57

Jennie Ellen doesn’t really sound right to me
I like Anna

Happenchance · 13/03/2021 18:57

Anna Frances flows the best.

Evelyn Louisa is a bit too L heavy, especially if your surname also contains an L.

funnyoldonion · 13/03/2021 19:02

Lovely names. Anna Frances is my favourite, it's really timeless but not heard of too much, she'd likely be the only little Anna at nursery, then Evelyn then Jennie but I like Jennifer. I really love Jennifer actually, I think it's due a comeback

SeanChailleach · 13/03/2021 19:03

They are all absolutely lovely. Jennie isn't chavvy. It isn't a chav name. I don't think your do understands "chav".
Funny but Jennie Ellen sounds magical to me like a storybook character.

Synchrony · 13/03/2021 19:05

I love the flow of Jennie Ellen!
The spelling wouldn't bother me at all. I know two Jennies (short for Jennifer) and as far as I know it's never been a problem for either.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 13/03/2021 19:07

Anna Frances and Evelyn Louisa are lovely (have a slight preference for Anna since it's more classic and less popular, but both nice).

Jenny/Jennie Ellen doesn't flow as well, and I'm personally rarely keen on nn's as given names, sorry (Jennifer Ellen flows better too).

cptartapp · 13/03/2021 19:12

I don't like Jennie but love Jennifer.
Also love Louisa and would have this as a first name.
Anna is lovely if somewhat bland.
Not keen on Frances or the overused Evelyn.

StillGoingToWork · 13/03/2021 19:12

Anna Frances

DotDotDotDotDot · 13/03/2021 19:21

I’d go with Evelyn Frances - gorgeous! Anna and Jennie are both perfectly nice too though, definitely not chavvy!

AdaColeman · 13/03/2021 19:32

Anna Frances is my favourite, a very nice balance of sounds, styes of names etc. A very pretty combination of classic names.

Evelyn Louisa is also very pretty and the names work well together, but I'd be cautious about using it because Eve/Eva etc are already very popular.

babynamelover · 13/03/2021 20:25

I like both Anna Frances & Evelyn Louisa.

ThatsTheTea · 13/03/2021 20:37

@ChelseaCat agreed.

OP they’re all nice but Evelyn Frances sounds really nice to me.

CeibaTree · 13/03/2021 22:30

Evelyn Francis is a really nice combo :)

Santatizer · 13/03/2021 22:46

Thanks everyone! I know shortened versions aren't to everyone's taste but I called my DS14 a long version of a name I don't love with the intention of using the short version, which I do love! He never goes by the long version and I regret using it tbh. Same with Jennifer / Jennie. I don't mind Jennifer but really like Jennie... Re Evelyn being popular, I don't really mind that too much. I love Anna Frances but find it a "colder sounding" name than Jennie Ellen, which I think has so much warmth. Thanks for all the views ☺️

They all sound a bit odd and disjointed if I’m honest Confused

I think Evelyn is the nicest name - Jennie and Anna are a bit beige

Santatizer · 13/03/2021 22:49

@Wondermule we will have to agree to disagree about odd and disjointed Grin. Also, I did ask that people didn't comment if they didn't like the names...

OhCaptain · 13/03/2021 22:52

Your DH is right about Jennie.

What about Anna Louise? I prefer that to Anna Frances - that sounds like a holiday resort to me! Grin

JosieB68 · 13/03/2021 23:00

Anna Frances is lovely
