Noah and Isaac?

I’m expecting my second little boy in April and really like the name Isaac. My DS1 is called Noah Lucas and this ones middle name would be Daniel. But I worry whether Noah and Isaac are too biblical together?. Or does it not matter because they’re both quite popular names.

I don't think it matters at all, both lovely names 😊

Thank you😊

My first thought was it’s quite biblical, but I wouldn’t worry too much, as they get older it’s rarer for siblings to be lumped together so if you love them go for it.

Synchrony · 12/02/2021 20:08

My first thought was also that it's biblical but no, I don't think it matters.

mangomama91 · 12/02/2021 20:09

I'm sure I have heard of Noah and Isaac as a brother match before, i think they're lovely names and really suit each other.

NannyR · 12/02/2021 20:16

My first thought was that it was very biblical - Noah, Isaac and Daniel are significant old testament characters. They are great names though, I love Isaac and it has a great meaning (he will laugh).

jumpyturtles · 12/02/2021 20:17

Thank you everyone, I’m glad you all think they aren’t too biblical together.

I would notice that they are biblical but IMHO that's not a bad thing.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 12/02/2021 21:32

Noah and Isaac are fine together. They are both popular names now so have lost some of their obvious biblical links since they are heard so frequently imo (unlike rarer names where it might be more obvious eg. Jonah and Isaiah when paired together).

Chilldonaldchill · 12/02/2021 21:37

I know two Noah and Isaac brother pairings.

CharlieBoo · 12/02/2021 21:39

It is biblical but they are both popular now so I don’t think it matters.. what about Samuel?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 12/02/2021 21:40

My Noah is 16 and not one of his peers has ever mentioned the biblical thing. Not one.
To be honest, I never think of it either.

Hammonds · 12/02/2021 21:41

They are both good solid names that will last in to adulthood, good choices! If I had to pick at w push I’d go for Noah. Noah sounds like a strong family man Grin

MamaDane · 12/02/2021 21:41

I'm personally not religious (just a cultural Christian) but love biblical names. Noah and Isaac were on our list for our twin boys. Lovely names, OP. Don't worry too much about them being biblical.

TitleOfYourSexTape · 12/02/2021 21:42

Gorgeous names, all of them.

jumpyturtles · 12/02/2021 21:47

Thank you everyone, good to hear others experiences with the names too. I think I’m going to go ahead with Isaac 😊

Great combination!

DramaAlpaca · 13/02/2021 01:42

Neither are my style at all, but they go very well together .

Thedogscollar · 13/02/2021 02:24

Lovely names and go together really well.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 13/02/2021 04:03

They are very biblical (I'd probably assume you were religious) but don't think that's a bad thing?? I love biblical names.

greyballoo · 13/02/2021 05:02

They're extremely biblical. Daniel is also I suppose but isn't really thought of as a biblical name. It's not a bad thing though it doesn't really matter at all they're just names, but if it's an issue to you don't pick them and kid yourself they don't sound biblical

Holly60 · 13/02/2021 05:16

I think they ‘go’ really nicely together. And I also quite like names with a slight ‘theme’ iyswim. I think Noah (biblical) and Dafydd (welsh) would be a little odd, for example. Noah and Isaac are lovely names individually and together. They sound like lovely brothers Smile

CherryMaple · 13/02/2021 07:15

I really like biblical names. Noah and Isaac sound gorgeous together OP.

Whatsyourflava · 13/02/2021 07:36

Both lovely names
The biblical thing wouldn't bother me, they're both well established names

PolarnOPirate · 13/02/2021 08:09

My first thought was very biblical. Maybe you're religious though! They go very well together.

I LOVE Hebrew names though, my son has one and we aren't religious. My second one we steered clear though.
