@KimchiLaLa

Who cares? Weird that she had a public wedding, weird that his company sent out an email making sure that they name checked the company following the birth.
@KimchiLaLa Clearly I don’t follow their lives as much as you do because I had no clue about what his company does or doesn’t do, especially this incident with the email you are referring to, the first time I’ve heard of it is from you Grin

It's been the lead on The Mail (yes the Mail!) and a few other outlets, impossible to miss it.

I manage to miss The Daily Mail entirely.

Bartholemew by day - Bart for hanging out with pals

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 20/02/2021 10:39

August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

DareIask · 20/02/2021 10:41

Poor child.

AaronPurr · 20/02/2021 10:47

@ZoyaTheDestroyer

August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
Not a fan, but I guess the world would be boring if we all liked the same things. Grin

I do love the inclusion of Philip though.

OldRailer · 20/02/2021 10:48

Makes me think Gussie Fink-Nottle. I may have misremembered that character name though!

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 20/02/2021 10:50

@OldRailer

Makes me think Gussie Fink-Nottle. I may have misremembered that character name though!
You’ve remembered it correctly! I think he was an Augustus.
ZoyaTheDestroyer · 20/02/2021 10:52

As a name, is it pronounced au-GUST, like the adjective?

OldRailer · 20/02/2021 10:53

I think Augustus flows better but probably just because I'm used to it.
( In an Augustus Caesar way not like "that guy Augustus down the road"!😄)

AdaColeman · 20/02/2021 10:56

Nice that they have included Philip, but I don't like the rest of it. I see they have not included Stamp which apparently is a Brooksbank family name, so a snub to his family history.

WonkyCactus · 20/02/2021 10:57

Oh dear. I thought that was another guess at first! Still, Gus is a cute nickname.

OldRailer · 20/02/2021 11:01

I would be slightly unsure as to pronunciation.

So like the month? like the adjective? in a quasi German way saying "Ow" at the start?

It would seem too much to wade in with Gus. I'd maybe go with Prince.😄

MoorHeather · 20/02/2021 11:34

Very handsome! Personally, I like it a lot.

Fascinationends · 20/02/2021 11:46

Isn't someone's child called Autumn? (Royal family member rather than in the whole world). If so, bit similar I think.

viques · 20/02/2021 11:50

In my mind if you want to call your child August you should be aiming for an appropriate due date. As far as I am concerned this child is called February.

Because all the best people are born in February.

OldRailer · 20/02/2021 11:51

I did momentarily ask myself what month we are in.

Lockdown effect.

Nonamesavail · 20/02/2021 11:55

I quite like it

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 20/02/2021 11:57

@Fascinationends you’re thinking of Peter Phillips’s ex-wife.

Parker231 · 20/02/2021 11:58

Poor baby - why land him with a nightmare name.

Fascinationends · 20/02/2021 11:58

Ah ok, thank you Zoya.

unmarkedbythat · 20/02/2021 11:59

It's not nice of me I know, but I proper laughed at the name they have chosen.

viques · 20/02/2021 12:39

@Parker231

Poor baby - why land him with a nightmare name.
He’s already got the nightmare Grandfather and Grandmother, why not go for a hat trick?
Catterpillar · 20/02/2021 14:31

Maybe they're fans of 'Ride upon the storm'.
