I think Zach. Zach Brooksbank sounds quite smart.

Jeffrey Edward

Maybe not.

Just been on Wikipedia .

His dad is George and they have a common ancestor called Thomas.

My bets would be

Benjamin Phillip George
Or
Thomas Phillip George

Frederick Charles Thomas

That’s a possibility as it’s supposed to mean the son of Jack. Didn’t Harry and Meghan choose Harrison?
TheLaughingGenome · 10/02/2021 06:35

Didn’t Harry and Meghan choose Harrison?

Yes, and Archie was for 'i.e. Rach'.

HowQuicklyTwoAndTwenty890 · 10/02/2021 06:40

I am imagining the behind the scenes kerfuffle over what title the new baby will be given (or not).

TheLaughingGenome · 10/02/2021 06:53

Will babs be an Honourable? Or a Viscount?

HowQuicklyTwoAndTwenty890 · 10/02/2021 06:57

I think the baby will not have a title. Does Archie have a title? Zara's children do not, as far as I know.

But I think Phillip will be in there.

I recall being surprised by Beatrice and Eugenie, not in a good way. But they are lovely names.

EdithWeston · 10/02/2021 07:07

He cannot have a title as things stand, because there is no title for him to have. Eugenie's royal style is not heritable (just as Princess Anne's isn't) and there is no other. Unless one of the parents were ennobled with a heritable title - which is what happened to Princess Maragaret's husband.

So that was granted to the Snowdons, offered and declines to the Phillips, and it has not happened for the other female grandchild (Zara) and Lady Louise isn't old enough. Princess Beatrice's husband has an Italian title, so perhaps her DC will inherit that?

yoomoo · 10/02/2021 07:19

Alfred, only because I’m due a baby boy next week who will be called that and it would be just my luck everyone thinks we copied them Hmm

Pyewhacket · 10/02/2021 07:23

Bet they don’t call him Harry Grin

Imissmoominmama · 10/02/2021 07:29

I mist be the only person who likes the names Beatrice and Eugenie Grin.

Scarby9 · 10/02/2021 07:31

@yoomoo
A friend rang me in floods of tears when the Beckhams announced the name of their daughter.

Her own Harper was by then 6 months old. She had planned and longed for a daughter named Harper ever since I had first known her 10 years before and had stuck to it through three serious boyfriends, her marriage and the birth of her first son.
Harper was at that time quite an unusual name but her choice stemmed from her love of To Kill a Mockingbird at A level.

I told her not to be so daft and that if anything the Beckhams had copied her.

But she was right - so many people ask if it is after Harper Beckham or if her middle name is Seven...

Alfred is a gread name! My prediction for the royal baby is Thomas Philip, but I would love him to be called Arlo.

sashh · 10/02/2021 07:32

Yes I bet Andrew is asking mummy for a title for his grandchild, to make up for him 'retiring'.

HowQuicklyTwoAndTwenty890 · 10/02/2021 07:33

I like them. I was just surprised when they were first announced and if i recall correctly they got alot of criticism. Fergie was seen to be sucking up to the Queen, (Only Fergie, mind, not Andrew, such is the ways of the misogysnistic press).

But I think they are elegant and interesting names.

Notanorthadontist · 10/02/2021 07:41

Luca Philip

Bluesername · 10/02/2021 07:50

Jonathan Charles Edward

Arthur is so, so popular at the moment!

I like the idea of something a bit more modern like Oscar, Oliver or Freddie.
