Artemis is my favourite. Unfortunately DD has an absolute mouthful of a surname and it doesn't go too well with it. So I chickened out and went with one of the simpler names mentioned. She suits her name very much but a bit of me wishes I had held my nerve and called her Artemis.

Jocasta and Calliope
Can't think of any male ones except Hector but it's what an ex called his penis 😅

Thalia
Phaedra
Clio

I also like Zoe but as its only Greek rather than a name from Mythology it doesn't count!

I love the name Ariadne.

Minthe! She turned herself into a mint bush; I'd love to do that trick.

I always really liked Paris and Hector for boys. DH didn't like Hector, but liked Paris. We were just worried it didn't translate that well into modern society and that in our small Scottish town people would think the baby was a girl named after the capital of France. I think it's beautiful though. Here is Scotland there are quite a few Hectors around.

I'm reading A Thousand Ships just now and loving being immersed in the Greek names, although I struggle with all the different links and stories as it's really my first introduction to Greek history/mythology.

I am a lawyer and a stable of advocates (a bit like a chamber of barristers) with female clerks has recently called themselves Themis. Is it just pronounced as it looks? Theh-miss?
