Girls names are all very nice except for Audrey. Other similar names possibly Eloise, Gabriella, Verity.

Boys names I'm not so keen on apart from Joseph. Similarish names, Reuben, Marcus, Gabriel.

EnglishRose1320 · 30/12/2020 17:05

Don't mind Saul, also like Solomon, with Sol as a shortening.

kimlo · 30/12/2020 17:06

I love Tess but prefer Tessa. Rudy is what dd2 would have been called if she had been ds1.

daisypond · 30/12/2020 17:07

Clara -ok, but a bit boring now.
Felicity - ok
Liberty - ok
Audrey -yes
Tess -yes. Might put Theresa on BC.

Edward -yes
Joseph - ok
Fabian - yes
Rudy - no. But Rudolph is good.
Guy -yes, really like this
Rupert -yes, great
Saul - no, dated style of Old Testament name

SugarCoatIt · 30/12/2020 17:08

Girls:

  • Clara - like
  • Felicity - like
  • Liberty - not keen
  • Audrey - not keen
  • Tess - like

Boys:

  • Edward - not keen
  • Joseph - ok
  • Fabian - really like
  • Rudy - like
  • Guy - like
  • (DH wild card is Rupert) - makes me think of Rupert the bear

Really dislike saul

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 30/12/2020 17:11

Girls:

  • Clara 2
  • Felicity 1
  • Liberty 5
  • Audrey 4
  • Tess 3

Boys:

  • Edward 3
  • Joseph 2

  • Rudy 4

So I'll just mark them from 1 to whatever 1 being my fav

Good luck

Ithinkhedidit · 30/12/2020 17:16

My favourite is Liberty! I think it's a great name. In fact, like all your girl names. Like Edward best for a boy, not keen on the others.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 30/12/2020 17:17
  1. Clara - very pretty but slightly prefer similar Lara
  2. Felicity - nice enough, classy name
  3. Liberty - hippy/arty, very different vibe to your other names
  4. Audrey - retro cool, I like it personally but a very marmite name
1.Tess - love it, a romantic, simple classic
  1. Edward - one of the ultimate classic boys names, can't go wrong
  2. Joseph - nice enough, just prefer Edward
  3. Fabian - too exotic/European sounding for my taste personally
  4. Rudy - dislike, too close to rude and feels like a nn
  5. Guy - okay, simple and unusual these days
  6. Rupert - bit wet sounding, but nothing wrong with it as such
IamnotwhouthinkIam · 30/12/2020 17:20

Saul would be after Joseph/before Guy - nice name but quite biblical/religious sounding to me.

yuyubooboo · 30/12/2020 17:41

Clara is lovely, Tess also nice.

Love Edward and Rudy!

Labobo · 30/12/2020 17:45

Love Clara - on the shortlist if we had had a girl
Not so keen on the other names for a girl.

Like most of your boy's list except Fabian (feels a bit wet for some reason) and Guy which seems like calling a child Bloke or Mister. Love Saul and Edward most with Joseph a close second.

KirstenBlest · 30/12/2020 18:24

Girls:

  • Tess

Boys:

  • Guy
bluechameleon · 30/12/2020 18:41

I love Clara and Edward, and also like Joseph and Tess, although I'd prefer Tessa or Theresa with Tess for short. I'm not sure about Felicity - I sort of love it, but it is quite frilly. I really don't like Guy or Saul.

Sarcobaleno · 30/12/2020 18:46

Girls:

  • Clara- i like but quite popular
  • Felicity - fine
  • Liberty - sounds like the kind of child teachers would dread
  • Audrey - nope
  • Tess - love

Boys:

  • Edward - love, and love Ed and Eddie
  • Joseph
  • Fabian - sounds like a long haired porn star from the 80s
  • Rudy - nope, another teacher dreaded name
  • Guy - very English
  • (DH wild card is Rupert) I'm not keen! Cute for a kid but nope for an adult
makinganavalon · 30/12/2020 19:10

Really like Tess and Felicity, Fabian and Guy.
Suggestions would be
Girls: Verity, Collette, Josephine
Boys: Dexter, Flynn, Gabriel, Lachlan

Milkshake7489 · 30/12/2020 19:12

Great list! I love Clara, Felicity, and Edward Smile

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 30/12/2020 19:28

Girls:

  • Clara LOVE
  • Felicity Dislike
  • Liberty Not my style
  • Audrey LOVE
  • Tess LOVE

Boys:

  • Edward Nice
  • Joseph Lovely
  • Fabian Super cool
  • Rudy Also really cool
  • Guy Dislike

Definitely not Saul! Not a great biblical namesake

Musmerian · 30/12/2020 19:30

Too European sounding!

angelaEhen · 30/12/2020 19:31

I only like Tess, Audrey and Edward

mrsrobin · 30/12/2020 19:42

Best for me Audrey and Rudy

MNBookNerd · 30/12/2020 19:45

Here are my thoughts, in order of preference...

Girls:

  • Tess (clear favourite)
  • Clara
  • Felicity
  • Audrey (not keen, quite old fashioned IMO)
  • Liberty (really not keen, trying to be ‘different’)

Boys:

  • Edward (this would be my favourite as wouldn’t mind the possible abbreviations too)
  • Joseph (like Joseph but wouldn’t be keen on it being abbreviated personally)
  • Rupert

Dislike your other options for boys I’m afraid

SeasonFinale · 30/12/2020 19:46

I wouldnt use Rudy because of Rudi Guiliani (sleazebag)
