Is it too close to Olivia? Will she have to correct people all the time?

It's a beautiful name, especially when pronounced the Italian way - Leevia. I say go for it!

MimiDaisy11 · 30/12/2020 13:50

I'm wondering what accent you need to hear "labia" - I don't hear it at all.
I do think that because Olivia is so popular it will get confused for it. I'd prefer something a bit more distinct like Lydia.

Vitaminsss · 30/12/2020 13:53

I think it sounds a bit incomplete a name by itself.

Olivia would naturally get shorted to Liv/Livia etc by friends/teachers etc

sandandso · 30/12/2020 19:14

Yes. That, or they'll think she's called Lydia.

Thank you for all of your comments. It's still my front runner but DH isn't completely sold!

Lovely!

AlwaysLatte · 31/12/2020 11:05

It's lovely but the two Livias I know are actually Olivia - I'm guessing there will be corrections.

whoamongstus · 31/12/2020 11:46

I know a Livia and I've always loved it!

annesven · 01/01/2021 11:02

I prefer it compared to Olivia

wherewildthingsare · 01/01/2021 11:36

@wherewildthingsare

Ummm sounds a bit like libia
And what is the problem with that? And it doesn’t anyway.
