Guessing game V!

Merry twixmas! Xmas Grin

We have reached thread 5(!) of the baby names Guessing Game.

This was the (brilliant) brain child of @scotstar back in March 2018. Smile

All are welcome, rules of this game are pretty straightforward - someone describes a name. Whoever solves the clues is then in charge of describing the next name. Simple! Make the clues as fiendish or straightforward as you like. Grin

The farm has links to a famous feline.

The alien line manager was on TV (or, rather, wasn't seen on TV).

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 11/01/2021 23:18

Holly?

finallychangedmyusername · 12/01/2021 21:06

Not Holly sorry (not Red Dwarf) WinkGrin.
This programme was earlier - the 70s.

Mork?
Mindy?
Grin
I have no idea!!!

finallychangedmyusername · 12/01/2021 23:39

You've got the right show! Just not the right name yet. Grin

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 13/01/2021 19:55

Orson?

finallychangedmyusername · 13/01/2021 20:01

Yes! Orson!

  • The alien line manager is Mork's supervisor in Mork and Mindy ("Mork calling Orson, come in Orson".) 😁
  • Reservoirs > wells > Actor Orson Welles
  • Teddy > Teddy bear > Orson means "bear"
  • Cartoon farm with feline link > Orson's Farm (written by Jim Davidson who also created Garfield)

Nanoo nanoo Grin

Wow!! Amazing clues!! Let me have a think...

LadyGAgain · 14/01/2021 20:56

Ok here goes!

She’s often left at the bottom of the bag.
She’s accused of being orange.
She’s sung about by one of a party of five.

finallychangedmyusername · 15/01/2021 07:42

Sandy?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 15/01/2021 08:47

Not Sandy

finallychangedmyusername · 15/01/2021 17:12

I keep coming back to Trump, with the "orange" clue! Grin. I shall continue to think. Smile

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 16/01/2021 17:23

Saffron?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 17/01/2021 09:28

Nope.

Perhaps party of five should be "one of a group of 5...4...3"

finallychangedmyusername · 17/01/2021 16:17

I've convinced myself that I'm looking for a name from Orange is the New Black, and/or from Lou Bega's Mambo Number Five.

So... Piper? Pamela? Grin

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 17/01/2021 18:42

Oh I like your thinking around mambo number 5! Sadly neither that or the names are correct (don't think she was mentioned anyway...)

Think of a band. With originally 5 members. Then 4 and now 3.

finallychangedmyusername · 17/01/2021 21:54

Julie?

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 17/01/2021 21:58

... or Patience?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 18/01/2021 00:04

No. Julie is WWW - not them.
Patience is on the money but not right Grin

finallychangedmyusername · 19/01/2021 20:30

Hope?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 19/01/2021 21:14

Not Hope

Ellmau · 20/01/2021 21:25

Clementine?

LadyGAgain · 20/01/2021 23:43

Yes @Ellmau !!!

LadyGAgain · 20/01/2021 23:45

A traditional Father Christmas offering
She’s often left at the bottom of the bag.

She's not an orange but...
She’s accused of being orange.

Mark Owen from Take that sung about Clementine in his (thankfully) brief solo career
She’s sung about by one of a party of five.

Over to you!
