Do you prefer my or husband's favourite name ?

DH asked me to post this thread lol , because we cannot decide and he is so sure his favs are just of better taste. We don't know the sex yet. He likes the names I like , and I like his. But "my" names just seem more beautiful. PLEASE DECIDE FOR US :

Levi or Daniel
Harper or Mary

Just seen your other update sorry OP, Hannah is good but don't like any others so Levi or Hannah would be my choices!

Hannah Matthew and Tristan. All great names

I'd also think ahead (if relevant), so consider combinations:

Zoe and Levi - cool, nice.
Zoe and Daniel - lovely, though Zoe and Danny is very 'ee' heavy, Zoe and Dan is good.
Zoe and Matthew - ok

Hannah and Matthew - these go together.
Hannah and Daniel - nice too, 'Han and Dan'.

Zoe and Mary - great, cool, lovely.

Hannah and Leah go together in a very biblical way. Add a Rachel.

Mary and Austin go, very old-fashioned, in a good way.

The problem is that they are such totally different pairs of names. I would try and think of some in the middle of them. A compromise e.g Milo for a boy is sounds similar to Levi but is softer, or Leo.

Austin and Hannah or Leah from the new list.

Manny is terrible (unless there's a cultural thing I don't know about?). Cadence sounds like a deep south America fundamentalist name.

Mary & Daniel every time.

daniel and mary,,im all for traditional names .

Matthew and Hannah are nice from your other list.

Daniel and Harper. But I do love Mary.

Levi and Harper.

Really hate Daniel and Mary.

I like Daniel, Levi, Mary, Zoe & Leah from both of your lists.

Please not Harper, Tristan or Cadence.

Levi like a PP I just think "Bellfield", and i can't shake that connotation, so this is a hard "no" for me

Mary fine but Mairi, Marianne or similar could be good alternatives if you want something a bit different.
Harper no, I know you love it, but it will date so badly.

I feel like your DP likes names he would have heard in primary school? I went to school with a lot of matthews, Daniels, Zoes and Hannahs so I feel like that's where he's got them from!

Daniel, Mary, Zoe, Hannah Leah and Matthew are OK. I quite like Daniel and Leah. Mary, Zoe, Hannah and Matthew are fine but dull.

Cadence, Austin, Manny, Levi and Tristan are all varying degrees of awful from 'not a great name' right down to 'WHY would you name an actual person that'.

Oh, I forgot Harper. Harper definitely in the awful list.

You've liked Levi since you were a child - then go for it! There will always be other people who don't like it/hate it/love it but at least you could tell your son you know what you called him even when you were little. I think that's beautiful!!

Daniel and Mary. I’m not keen on Mary, as, like a PP said, it is rather frumpy. But I cannot escape the idea that the parents of every little Harper were inspired by the Beckhams, so I’d pick frumpy over that. I do actually prefer the names Harper to Mary, as I do think it sounds pretty.

I like Daniel and Levi but not so keen on Harper or Mary, I know that's not what you asked 😆 If I had to choose I'd say Daniel and Mary
