Do you prefer my or husband's favourite name ?

DH asked me to post this thread lol , because we cannot decide and he is so sure his favs are just of better taste. We don't know the sex yet. He likes the names I like , and I like his. But "my" names just seem more beautiful. PLEASE DECIDE FOR US :

Levi or Daniel
Harper or Mary

Good god don't call your child Levi ffs! I don't really like any of them. Daniel is the only one I would even consider.

Is it pronounced Levi as in the jeans or is it levy as in a fine? Neither are great to be honest.

As woman if neither wish to be called Mary or Harper.

Daniel is ok but it would be shortened to Danny and I’m not a fan of that either.

I only like Levi of those 4. Really not keen on Harper but don't like Mary either.

I like Levi and Daniel (Daniel is best IMO) I don't care for either of the girls names.

Of those, Daniel and Mary, but not hugely enamoured with latter. Sounds a bit frumpy, as others have said.

Daniel (our son is Daniel. Was our only boys name).
Not keen on any others but I'd choose Mary if I had to

They are all nice. But sadly in the U.K. in this era Levi just has too many chav connotations I’m afraid. Otherwise it would be a lovely name.

I only like Mary tbh. Daniel is better than Levi if it's between those two, though.

It's irrelevant. Go with your choice, why on earth would you not get the casting vote after going through pregnancy and birth!

  • Obviously the ideal scenario is you both like the same name. Otherwise...

I irrationally dislike Daniel, and Harper always feels like a boys name to me.

I'm not fussed on any sorry but I'd go for Levi and Harper.

Mary is bloody awful. So frumpy and dull. Daniel ok but very common.
