Do days work as names?

Rupert Grint just used Wednesday, what are your thoughts on days of the week as names?

Monday would be unusual I think, but I don’t mind Sunday as much

Wednesday would work with siblings named Pugsley and Pubert.

Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at a pinch. I don't think the others work at all.

I'll see you next, Tuesday.

I like Tuesday, but would have to be born on a Tuesday!

I feel like you would have to have been born on that day for it to work but I quite like Sunday for a name.

My real name is a day of the week and I love it. And no I'm not saying which one 😂

Same for months of the year.. some work, others not.

Terrible - there are so many fab names out there, days of the week are just confusing and don't even sound nice. Also not a fan of months, with the exception of May.

Fern McCann has a daughter called Sunday which I quite like actually.

I read a book when I was young about a girl called October.

My dd was due in September but was born in October. Would have named her that if I’d known.

She would have hated me.

I really like Tuesday as a name!

I don't like them as they don't mean anything as stand alone names, it just seems odd and dull to name your child after a day.
The origin of the names are much more interesting on their own, and somehow sticking the word day on the end spoils the names.
Sunday and Monday are named after the sun and the moon. The following 5 days are from the Gods.
Tuesday comes from Tiu, or Tiw, the Anglo-Saxon name for Tyr, the Norse god of war. Tyr was one of the sons of Odin, or Woden, the supreme deity after whom Wednesday is named. Similarly, Thursday originates from Thor, the god of thunder. Friday is derived from Frigga, the wife of Odin, representing love and beauty. Saturday comes from Saturn, the ancient Roman god of fun andfeasting.

I think you could get away with Tuesday, Wednesday and possibly Sunday.

For months there's obviously April, May & June. I like January.

Saturday could have some interesting nicknames.

I think Tuesday and Wednesday at a push do and maybe Sunday (Nicole Kidman's kid) but the others don't, for some reason.

Saturday - nope
Sunday - hmmm...maybe

(My opinions only! Given how high on G&A I was, I'd probably have considered any of them in the early moments though. In hindsight, I'd not use any)
