Do days work as names?

Rupert Grint just used Wednesday, what are your thoughts on days of the week as names?

A friend of mine is called Keane, which means born on Saturday

Wednesday would work with siblings named Pugsley and Pubert.

I quite like the name Wednesday but I’d hope she’d be like Wednesday Addams. It would be awkward if she turned out to be more of an Amanda...

I’m biased though as these are my septuplets names.

No - while I've heard of both Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday used as (rare) first names, I don't think it's worth the inevitable teasing/comments/suprised looks everytime someone hears her name for the first time.

I really like days as names. I also like months and seasons as names. I dont know if I'd be brave enough to name my child a day name... I really pushed to name my daughter a more unusual month name but my dh wouldn't stand for it lol

I read that it used to be more common to use days on the weeks as names in the medieval ages, which is interesting. I can't say any strike me as great names but some are better than others. I think Sunday could be cute but it also makes me think of Sundae ice creams

Imo, no.

Not for me, no. I like months derivatives like Maya, June, Julia, and also Summer, but days of the week - I wouldn't use them as a dc's name.

Saturday could have some interesting nicknames.

How about Dinah-Mo? Dynamo is the only single-word anagram that can be made from any of the days of the week.
