Frankie and...?

I'm pregnant with identical twin girls due in the next couple of weeks. We love the name Frankie (Francesca) and have decided that's one of the names, but are really struggling with the other one! The two middle names are going to be Jean and Mary after our grandmothers. I think Frankie Jean sounds better than Frankie Mary but it's going to depend mainly on the name of the other twin as to who gets which middle name. Surname begins with P.

The names we like are:
Ella
Remi/Remy
Evie
Lola
Lyla
Mila
Georgie

What do you think goes best with Frankie, and thinking about the middle names too? Or do you have any other suggestions?

TIA 😊

I thought Georgie as soon as read the title! So I think that goes. Also like Mila but not sure Mila Mary? In fact I like all your options!

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 08/11/2020 19:15

My friend has Frankie (Frankie is on BC), Holly and Jessica. So in my head that's the only names that go. Grin

Oh I do know another Francesca (Fran). Her sister is Harriet. (I think she's Francesca anyway Confused)

PuppyMonkey · 08/11/2020 19:19

Frankie and Johnny is the song - so you could do Frankie and Bonnie maybe? Grin

CloudyVanilla · 08/11/2020 19:20

Frankie and Ella is nice!

Don't think Evie goes well - go for a non "ee" sounding name for the other one to prevent it from being too twee.

Frankie and Bella
Frankie and Willow
Frankie and Nina
Frankie and Georgia
Frankie and Alexa

Still think Frankie and Ella is nicest :)

I like Lyla best from your choices.

I also like;
Clara
Lauren
Hannah
Zoe
Jenna
Miranda

Georgie for sure. Enjoy your twin girls - mine are now 22 and I miss those early years!

MilsCookie · 08/11/2020 19:23

@TheDetectiveBadge thank you! Georgie was the first name we liked but then we thought it sounded too much like we were trying to have two boys names... not that that matters but they're kind of similar type names if you know what I mean (Frank/George?) and yep, Mila Mary is definitely a no go haha Confused.

@ImNotWhoYouThinkIam thank you for those suggestions... one of them is actually my name haha so can't have that!

@PuppyMonkey haha maybe! Our worry about Remi was thank Frankie and Remi sounds like Frankie and Benny's...

@CloudyVanilla Frankie and Ella were my favourites last night! And I agree - I think we'd prefer the second name not to end in an 'ee' sound. I love Bella but DP not so keen... and I love Georgia too but DP just says he prefers Georgie to Georgia... but I always bring up what we just said about it sounding better if they don't both end in 'ee'!

Thank you @doctorhamster and @Popcornismandatory - and so lovely you also have twins! I still can't believe I'm actually having two babies at the same time!

Before looking at your suggestions, i was going to say Georgie!

Marnie76 · 08/11/2020 19:34

I think Francesca Jean (Frankie) and Georgina Mary (Georgie) work beautifully together. Congratulations.

BrutusMcDogface · 08/11/2020 19:37

Frankie and Georgie! Gorgeous. Yes they are “boyish” names but does that matter?

BrutusMcDogface · 08/11/2020 19:39

Actually - I’m now thinking Georgia sounds less “twee”, but you could always call Georgia Georgie as a non. Francesca Jean and Georgia Mary on the birth certificate 😊

BrutusMcDogface · 08/11/2020 19:39

*nn I meant! Nickname. Should have just typed that!

Namechangedforthisoct2 · 08/11/2020 19:42

Frankie and Tabitha
Frankie and Cora
Frankie and Elsa
Frankie and Frieda

barbiemummy20 · 08/11/2020 19:44

Congrats 💕

mnahmnah · 08/11/2020 19:48

Frankie and Lola sounds fab!

kulaexchange · 08/11/2020 19:51

Georgie or Lola

DrCoconut · 08/11/2020 20:34

Frankie and Lola goes.

Ellmau · 08/11/2020 20:40

I don't think you will often, if ever, say Nickname Middlename. It will either be Nickname Surname, or Fullfirstname Middlename.

Georgia or Georgiana with Georgie as nickname sounds good.

SpeckledyHen · 08/11/2020 20:42

Ella or Tessa

babycakes1010 · 08/11/2020 20:50

Frankie and Sienna/ Savannah
..or Frankie and ruby

Chilldonaldchill · 08/11/2020 21:11

I know sisters called Francesca and Josephine known as Frankie and Josie which is lovely.

Popcornismandatory · 08/11/2020 21:19

@MilsCookie my one and only pregnancy so I have nothing to compare it to but they always had a ready made playmate and now as young adults still have a special close bond

Squeakerfoot · 08/11/2020 21:23

Frankie (Francesca) and Georgie (Georgia) sound great together. Remy/i is also primarily a boy's name to me, not that that's necessarily a problem, but it goes less well than Georgie to my ears.

It would be kind of nice if both had a longer name with nickname options. Other ideas for that could be:
Alexis
Helena
Jasmine
Beatrice
Esther
Miriam
Harriet

Ikeameatballs · 08/11/2020 21:29

I like Frankie and Georgie with the formal names Francesca Jean and Georgia Mary.

I also like:
Matilda
Daisy
Lila
Cora
Ada
