Hi, we're due DD1 soon, we're trying to decide on a name.

DH has vetoed any more unusual names, we are now trying to decide between 3:

Grace
Alice
Layla

Which would you choose?

Alice, it's timeless!

Grace also lovely and classic

Not a fan of Layla, very popular now and I think it will date

Grace or Layla

Layla or Alice. Think Grace is very hard and letters not attractive.

All nice. Go in with all three and she what she looks like when she is born

Alice and Grace are lovely and timeless but Grace seems to have been very popular in recent years if that bothers you. I'm less keen on Layla but its still a good name, prefer it spelt Leila. As others have said I think bear all three in mind and see what she looks like.

Statistically speaking, Layla is the least popular - but because of so many spelling variations (Laila, Leila, Leyla) as well as similar sounding names (Lila, Lyla, Leela, Lola) - it won't stand out from the crowd much.

I don't really care for Alice or Grace either, but both are timeless and classic enough.
