Hi, we're due DD1 soon, we're trying to decide on a name.

DH has vetoed any more unusual namesConfused, we are now trying to decide between 3:

Grace
Alice
Layla

Which would you choose?

All a bit bland. Layla's awful, definitely not that.

Alice is less boring than Grace.

Firebird83 · 09/11/2020 21:52

Alice

NatalieH2220 · 09/11/2020 21:55

Grace is my favourite from your choices

RoseMartha · 09/11/2020 21:58

Grace

Although Alice Grace sounds nice together

cloverbug · 16/11/2020 12:12

I like Grace and Layla, both are beautiful.

MercyBodle · 16/11/2020 13:10

All nice names, but Alice is my favourite, then Grace.

Theyaremyforeverx · 16/11/2020 13:14

Grace sounds nice x

Layla has a very different feel to Alice and Grace, which is almost certainly influencing the answers - I'm also not at all keen on Layla (though I quite like Leila). Alice is nicer than Grace IMO. Both are popular, but I think Grace has become a bit of a generic middle name alongside Rose.

Grace.

Alice is classic and will stand the test of time - if a little dull.
Layla is very trendy and will date quickly.
Grace is the prettiest of the three while still being classic.

FippertyGibbett · 16/11/2020 14:51

Grace or Alice, not Layla.

Namechangedforthisoct2 · 16/11/2020 15:41

Layla but I’d go with the Leila spelling, if you wrote both out Leila flows much nicer. It can also be said both ways, lee - lah and lay - la so even as an adult they can choose how their name is pronounced.

Grace is lovey,

Alice is not nice, sorry Confused
