Short fat baby name...

Please help (lighthearted) 31 weeks with a boy. We had chosen Solomon but at a recent growth scan we have learned that baby is both short and fat. (AC over 97th and femur length 10th)

Solomon (would be Sol day to day) sounds like he should look like Jason Momoa but I now picture him in my head looking like Matt Lucas. Please help me find a suitable name.

DP is wholly set on Solomon though 😩.

Siblings are Kitty, Noah, Esme, Lulu

Other names I like are Gabriel, Sebastian, Jude

Tate is distinctly rotund. like a 'tato

Handsnotwands · 22/10/2020 12:44

but Sol is also round, like a great ball of burning fire. i'd stick with Sol

George (Dawes, the msn with the scores)

Hugh
Clive
Teddy
Rupert
William

These are all short fat men I've met and they've all been lovely! And not defined by their shortness of their fatness. Good luck op and perhaps have a few tall and skinny names on your list, just in case.

@Standrewsschool aw thank you!

I'd go with Jude! But mainly because it's my favourite boys name and OH hates it

Fabpinky · 22/10/2020 14:18

Alf

MJMG2015 · 22/10/2020 14:34

You cannot call him Hugo.

I'm not keen on Solomon myself, but he's not my baby!!, but I can't see why you'd change it just because he might be short & chunky as a new born.

micc · 22/10/2020 18:48

I'm voting Jude!

user18594 · 22/10/2020 18:49

Bruce!!

BabyLlamaZen · 22/10/2020 20:06

I think Solomon sounds chunky! Also those scans are so wrong! My friend's chunky baby just came out 6lb 10 🤣

HawkinsLab · 22/10/2020 20:10

You definitely could still use Solomon, but when I read your title and before I read your op, I thought of Jude! Great name.

mary81 · 22/10/2020 20:13

Sol definitely meets your criteria! Love it. However, I have a Gus and it definitely suits a chubby little sausage 😆

emilybrontescorsett · 22/10/2020 20:14

I think George would suit a chubby boy. Jude is thin and Soloman is tall. Matt is not a chubby boy.

Athrawes · 22/10/2020 20:14

Bob

Disfordarkchocolate · 22/10/2020 20:14

Well I think Solomon is very lovely and you should keep it. If not Leon is an excellent name too.

topcat2014 · 22/10/2020 20:29

Troy

LadyCatStark · 22/10/2020 20:46

He won’t stay a short, chubby baby though! Ds was an ordinary sized newborn, chunky baby, toddler and up to 5 year old, then he became a stick overnight and now he’s 11 he’s ordinary sized again 😂

3rdNamechange · 22/10/2020 20:47

Rex

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/10/2020 00:28

I can actually picture a chubby Gabe with jet black curly hair and brown eyes.

Asteria36 · 23/10/2020 00:35

I am the very proud owner of a short fat bearded Jude. It's a good name! I've only met two Judes and they have both been pretty marvellous - I married one of them, so that's got to count for something!

Kanaloa · 23/10/2020 00:54

Solomon is a lovely name. And even Jason Momoa was a little fat baby at one point.

Claricethecat45 · 23/10/2020 01:08

What an adorable post!

This little Buddha is going to be a love bug!!!

Some lovely suggestions that I cannot add to but- I had a role poly one - who is STILL well upholstered and is now a sofa of a boy, fit, but up for a huuuuggge smooch whenever approached ! He's called Bobby (Robert) and he is a total joy 20 years on...
