How will you pronounce it? Like Meredith in Greys or with the stress on the dith as Welsh people say? (Or rather as I would say it)

I dont like it, I think it's quite a harsh name

Then again I grew up watching the parent trap (lindsay Lohan one) and the evil step mum is called meredith so maybe I'm biased!

Meredith is an anglicisation of the Welsh boys name Maredudd (Ma-RED-ith) used for girls.

That said, I do like Meredith and the English pronunciation for a girl. Merry is a nice nickname.

It’s a bit long for me, but I like it. Not Merry as a nickname though - too twee.
