What else might I like?

I’m really struggling with boys names. Some I like are;
Emrys- my favourite but DP doesn’t like
Esca- worries about escalator comments
Edward/teddy- getting very very popular
Taran & Trystsan- surname ends with ‘an’ so not sure it flows too well.

I’ve gone through hours of websites, books, forums and I just can’t find anything. I want something that’s not likely to be several in a class but also not sounding made up. Any suggestions welcome.
DD is Isabelle so need to go with that.

Honestly you have such eclectic taste that I’m just throwing random things out there! Not confident in anything I’m sending

A tough one- all I can think of that might fit are: Oswald, Inigo, Clayton, Warren, Jethro, Erroll, Rene, Randall

Oneandabean · 11/10/2020 21:37

Ezra I’m not a fan but I know a girl with a similar name so it’s quite feminine to me.

I can’t quite figure out what my taste is either. I’d quite like a welsh one that’s easy to say in England. But I just don’t like most of them.

I’m a bit gutted as I had my heart set on Emrys, and DP had said he liked it. But today told me he really doesn’t like it as it was the name of a paedophile that used to live down the road from him.

Never heard of emryn. There are three rhys's at my kids school. Just call him Richard, since absolutely no one else will be, lol.

Oh what a shame OP. I love Emrys too but I guess it's a no go. @tararabumdeay's suggestion of Rhodri is good.

NameChange30 · 11/10/2020 21:59

Isabelle and Edward are both very classic names but the others on your list are more unusual. Do you live in England or Wales? Do you really want a Welsh name?

How about
Idris
Macsen (Mac or Max for short)

Out of your list I like Edward (but not Teddy) and Tristan (but I'd spell it Tristan not Trystan)

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 11/10/2020 21:59

Caleb
Jago
Ezekiel
Zachary

Tootletum · 11/10/2020 21:59

A Welsh friend at school had two brothers called Morgan and Dailan. They were well fit, so I'm biased into liking the namesGrin

NameChange30 · 11/10/2020 22:01

Has anyone suggested Elijah yet? It's not Welsh but seems similar to the others you like.

For boys I love

Xenios
Tobias
Xavier
Lennon

Good luck finding one you love x
