What are your opinions on Ernest nn Ernie?

Love it. It’s one of my Ds’s middle names

Resentful - my one and only premium bond has never come up.

Alfie/Artie/Ernie/Albie etc.
They just blend into one.

I really like Ernest. I don’t love Ernie as much as the full name but it’s fine as a nickname.

It used to be said as an insult when I was at school with your tongue between your teeth and lower lips.

I havent seen anyone do that in forever and cant even remember what it meant as such.

But seing Erniieeeee makes me think it staright away!

Baby Ernest/Ernie is fine and cute but 14 year old Ernest getting a hard time at school because of his old fashioned name isn't good.

It's fine but most people over 50 will think Morecambe & Wise, premium bonds and the fastest milkfloat in the west.

Like Ernie don't like Ernest

It's one of the only 'old man' names that I really dislike. The other being Stanley!
