I don’t like Bonnie at all, so Imogen.

baumwolle · 01/10/2020 09:35

Imogen

Whatsyourflava · 01/10/2020 09:39

Imogen! Perfect name and much less used these days.

TheYeaSayer · 01/10/2020 09:40

Bonnie.

Imogen is the ugliest name ever.

keepingbees · 01/10/2020 09:41

Bonnie. Much prettier and used much less

Whatsyourflava · 01/10/2020 09:41

I notice Bonnie is on a steep upward slope in terms of numbers whereas imogen on a opposite downward slope. I don't know if popularity is any sort of factor to you but if it is I'd still pick Imogen as it looks likely Bonnie's numbers will overtake Imogen in the next year or two based on the graphs and Bonnie will continue to rise whereas Imogen continues to fall.

Imogen

Whatsyourflava · 01/10/2020 09:43

@keepingbees Bonnie looks certain to overtake Imogen in the charts very soon! Have a look at these graphs of official statistics if you're interested (or don't if you're not!):

Not at all helpful but I like both!

emmathedilemma · 01/10/2020 09:44

I don't particularly like either but of the two, Imogen. Imogen isn't too bad but shortening it to "Imo" is just ugly.
Bonnie belongs only on dogs for me.

Whatsyourflava · 01/10/2020 09:44

Connie is also not that far outside the top 100 so I imagine the two names Bonnie and Connie could merge a bit

passthegin1234 · 01/10/2020 09:49

Imogen any day

sunkiss · 01/10/2020 09:55

I love Imogen!

SadWife2020 · 01/10/2020 10:18

I like Bonnie like in the book The Wolves of Willoughby Chase

Whatsyourflava · 01/10/2020 10:23

Connie, Bonnie, Ronnie, Sonny all top 100 or just outside

Kanaloa · 01/10/2020 11:17

Imogen.

ShelbyCherryBlossom · 01/10/2020 11:27

Love the name Bonnie! Not a fan of Imogen.

Rayna37 · 01/10/2020 11:41

I love Imogen, less keen on Immy (though hard to control that).

In parts of the North West Bonnie is a euphemism for overweight. "Which John do you mean? "The Bonnie one"

quarantandrums · 01/10/2020 12:41

Bonnie is horribly twee and cutesy. I'm not keen on Imogen either but it's much stronger and ages better.

VenusClapTrap · 01/10/2020 12:51

Not Bonnie. What if she isn’t? It could be a hard name to live with. Plus it’s a bit infantilising isn’t?

That said, I’m not overly keen on Imogen, but at least it’s a sensible name.

ellenpartridge · 01/10/2020 13:10

Imogen. Also quite like Connie (more than Bonnie)

Firebird83 · 01/10/2020 22:17

Bonnie. Don’t like Imogen at all.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 01/10/2020 22:19

I love Imogen, ds2 would have been Imogen if a girl.

Bonnie sounds like a dog's name to me.

DramaAlpaca · 01/10/2020 22:20

Imogen by a million miles.

Bonnie is cutesy and twee. Would you really, as an adult, want to be called Bonnie? I wouldn't.

Tillygetsit · 01/10/2020 22:23

Imogen. It's much more sophisticated.
