Matilda.

Juat because I really don't like Daisy or Ella.

MyCatReallyIsAGit · 17/09/2020 12:02

Daisy! Because it’s pretty and less popular than Matilda, and I’m less keen on Ella.

parmahampam · 17/09/2020 12:04

I like Daisy or Ella. Both really lovely. I do also like Matilda but I don’t really like the nickname Tilly, so wouldn’t use for that reason

weneedboujiecocktails · 17/09/2020 12:09

Matilda.

Don't like the other 2 and very common.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 17/09/2020 12:14

Matilda.
Several nicknames when young (and old)
To me it's a strong name.

Daisy and Ella aren't to my taste really. I find Daisy a bit flowery (well it is a flower) and non serious- but very pretty. Ella is timeless. I really like Elsa as well.

itsjakeandamy · 17/09/2020 12:43

Matilda is lovely. It's popular but they are all popular and it's both pretty and strong.
Daisy is my second choice. I like it but I can only imagine it on a relatively "little" person - it feels quite ethereal to me. I can't imagine it on a 5 ft 10 in body builder iykwim.
Ella is just dull. And way too common.

Spied · 17/09/2020 12:48

Matilda. Personally I love the nn Tilly. I think it's nice for a child and an adult.
Daisy is a little girl's name imo and I can't imagine it suiting many women.
It also reminds me of a cow.
Ella is far too common imo. Elle would be ok but it's too close to Ellie which is a big 'NO' from me. Overused.

AbbieFB · 17/09/2020 12:50

Ella. Matilda is very popular at the moment and I don’t like Daisy. Ella is lovely.

Quercus3 · 17/09/2020 12:50

I always imagine which name I'd most like to be called. I think Daisy is my favourite (just), closely followed by Matilda. Ella is a while further down the list for me.

JollyGiraffe12 · 17/09/2020 12:51

I like all 3 very much but if pushed I would go for Ella or even Eleanor nn Ella

PlateTectonics · 17/09/2020 12:52

Matilda is my favourite

WorriedMummy2020 · 17/09/2020 12:54

Matilda or Daisy. I don't dislike Ella but I don't like it as much as the other two.

MintyMurray17 · 17/09/2020 12:57

Matilda. Strong name and meaning, and good nickname options.

Oneandabean · 17/09/2020 16:26

Definitely daisy. It’s such a pretty name. Matilda is too common and I find Ella a bit bland

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/09/2020 18:08

Daisy. I toyed with changing my DDs name from Molly to Daisy when she was a month old after meeting an absolutely delicious one with red curly hair (like a shiny penny)
I stuck with Molly in the end.

Matilda is okay. I can see the appeal, but I don’t particularly like it.

I’ll go as far as to say Ella is the worse girls name there is. I know I’m very much in the minority as it’s a very popular name.

DramaAlpaca · 17/09/2020 18:50

Matilda. It's strong and beautiful.

Daisy is pretty but twee.

Ella is bland and boring, a bit nothingy.

buntingandstarcharts · 17/09/2020 18:51

Thanks everyone, extremely interesting opinions. I absolutely love Daisy but worry it's too childish which has been mentioned a few times. A lawyer, doctor, police officer called Daisy? I just don't see it despite it being my favourite one I've listed.

Matilda. Great character from a great story, and I love Tilda as a nn.

sibbys · 17/09/2020 19:00

They are all lovely! Which goes best with your last name?

Peachbubble · 17/09/2020 19:43

Daisy.

Changedname81 · 17/09/2020 21:45

Daisy Cooper is a lib dem politician
You have Daisy Ridley the actress and another Daisy Cooper is an actress

I typed “Daisy lawyer” into Google and there are pages of them...

You become what you become despite your name, not because of it Grin

If you love Daisy - go for it! Flowers

buntingandstarcharts · 17/09/2020 21:49

@Changedname81 you're so great, thanks so much!

Matilda is the most unusual. Ella and daisy are nice names but there are loads of them!

Natalie654321 · 17/09/2020 21:53

Matilda

JulesCobb · 17/09/2020 21:54

Matilda.
