Sienna or Maeve - I am really struggling to choose between these two names! Opinions?

@steppemum, I think what @Ilen is saying is that associating Maeve with Mavis is a misunderstanding by non-Irish people who think Maeve must be an alternatively-spelled shortening for Mavis when in fact it’s an anglicised form of the modern Irish Méabh or the Old or Middle Irish Medb. And more of a cool classic, certainly not a revived old lady name like Gladys or Doris.

@boscoismyspiritanimal Just to let you know, I am Irish. It doesn't mean I have to agree that every spelling is wonderful. I personally think it looks strange. Hope that enlightens...

Maeve I love it was on my list.

Sienna is very popular and seems like a faddy name that will date quickly.
