What do we think?

I love it as a name, love how pretty it sounds but also strong - similar vein to the Olivia's and Sophia's but very unusual I think just now.

Is it too dated / doomed Princess - especially as we're UK based? Though we don't live in England, not sure if that makes a slight difference.

To he honest it’s not my cup of tea, I think it’s a little dated but.... I don’t think you should care what anyone else thinks, it’s your child and you should choose what’s right for you.

What about Dinah?

It's one of my favourite names! Unfortunately, my husband vetoed it when we had dd 😔

I love it. Aside from Princess Diana, it makes me think of Dianna Agron, who I think is the epitome of elegance.

It's my sisters name, she's 77 now!
One thing that used to happen is that everyone called her Diane, which she hated!

That's my name and the only person allowed to shorten it to Di is my dad. He's done it for as long as I can remember, I wouldn't accept it from anyone else

I've heard of a few babies being called it recently but it'll never be so popular as to be overused I don't think.

Do not use Dinah or Diane. They're banal in comparison. Only Diana shines.

I like it too. It was one of the names I loved when I was a kid (obvs in the news more back then) and it's one of the few I'd still use. (One of my other faves was Diamond... not so sure on that one now!)

There's nothing wrong with the name in itself, but I might think you were obsessed with the Diana.

Really hate the "Die" sound at the start and that's the natural nickname too (albeit not spelt like that)

I love it. Really pretty and feminine, but carries weight. I’m late thirties, and wouldn’t immediately think of Princess Di, so I doubt your daughter’s peers would often make the association. Great choice.

I really liked Dinah but dp ruined it by thinking it was pronounced Deena. Apparently someone on an American TV show he watches does...
Diana, I like the letters and meaning but think it needs another five/ten years.
