How many Delilahs do you know?

I promise this is my last post! Not much time left so weighing up all aspects. So annoying the 2019 stats aren’t around yet!

So just interested - how many baby Delilahs do you know? Where do you reckon it will fall in the UK chart for 2019 and 20?

I only know one

None. But given the Biblical namesake and the Tom Jones song I'm not surprised

I know 3 Delilahs, very popular name here. And I hear the Tom Jones song in my head every time

I know of one. A friend of a friend though. There's none in my children's baby groups. She goes by "Lyla" day to day though.

It's one of my favourite names. The nicknames available mean that even in the very unlikely scenario where there's 2 Delilahs in a class, one might well be known as a nickname anyway

I know a working cocker spaniel called Delilah. We all invariably burst in to songs when she's called her doggy housemate is Jolene the goldie again, we all sing. I also know a 7yo human Delilah, she goes by Lilah.

I think the marmite reaction you've had to the name is positive in a way @kellybean18 hopefully it won't gain too much popularity

@MrsApplepants do you mind me asking whereabouts you are? Even roughly (north, south east, London etc)

None, but I know a fair few Sampsons.

She might be one of several or the only one, but Lila is a lot more popular.

If you love the name, does it matter if there will be many in her age group?

It is a name that people either love or dislike, so I would bear in mind that she might be judged on it.

None but we are in Wales! I would think more acceptable in other areas of the U.K. than here!
