Girls Name Shortlist Help Please

Hello Everyone,
I'm struggling to narrow down my shortlist of girls names.
My Son has a name in the Top 5. We didn't know this when we picked it, but surprisingly we've only met one other! So popularity isn't really a concern for us.

The names are:
• Isabel Matilda
• Juliet Matilda
• Poppy Matilda
• Sofia Matilda
Matilda is a definite for the middle name.
Which do you prefer and why?
If there is another first name that would sound better, please feel free to suggest.

Isabel Matilda is my favourite. Sofia and Juliet are fine too, I don't like Poppy.

Prefer Juliet as it’s more unusual
The others are all very commonly used around here as is matilda
So if that’s an issue for you then use Juliet but I am guessing it isn’t from your list (which is obviously fine) so just go with what you most love not a load of randoms on the internet!

Juliet Matilda has the edge. Definitely.
I also really like the name Sofia but it's becoming a little meh to me.
Isabel is nice but it's too popular for my taste.
Poppy doesn't age well imo.

I love all your options apart from Juliet as all the ones I know got inevitably shortened to Jules and I really hate that.

Lovely list otherwise though and I love Matilda too!

Adore Sofia Matilda!
I do however prefer the Sophia spelling. However that’s just my opinion. Either way a beautiful name!

Why don't you just name her Matilda?
I think Juliet or Sofia sounds nicer personally 😊

I would say call her Matilda too. It's quite a strong name but middle names are rarely used.

So Juliet Matilda Surname would end up being Juliet Surname.

Its all slightly complicated but Unfortunately we can't use Matilda as first name. But we'd still like to use it, hence giving as a middle name.
My Son we use both his names. We don't like double barrel, they are first and middle name on birth certificate but we generally call him both. We sign everything from him using his first and second name. Hope that makes sense. So we'd probably use both names.

For that reason I'm leaning more towards Sofia Matilda as it rolls off the tongue quite nicely when you say both names together.

I like them all! I like Isabel best because I like all the shortenings and it flows well with Matilda. Probably next best is Juliet - very pretty, classic name. I dislike "Jules" though, which she may get called. Poppy is really pretty actually. Sofia is nice but I don't like it as much as the others.

You might OP, but others probably won't.
Most of your list are 3 syllable names so are quite long before you add another 3 syllables

Some syllables are more noticeable e.g, El, al,-a.

As someone who likes names like Ann, Dot, Kate, Meg, Fay, Fern, Kim, Jill etc I would think that Juliet Matilda was way too much work.

It sounds more like a doll's name

Sorry, I meant some syllables are less noticeable. Elizabeth is 4 syllables but is not much different to Lisbeth, the name of a girl I was at school with.

@MikeUniformMike on my sons school forms when they ask for his known as name, I always put first name and then first and middle name together. They used both his first and middle name rather than first letter of surname when there was other child with same first name.
I've always used his first and second name and so most people generally do now too.
Juliet Matilda is probably a bit chunkier when said together compared to Sofia Matilda.
Hence why we are so undecided as we probably like Juliet more but Sofia Matilda sounds better than Juliet Matilda.

i know some people who always got the firstname middlename but the names were more more like Helen May, Mary Anne and John Luke (not their real names but names of the same length), and some who are double barrelled like Anne-Marie (usually sounds like Ammery) or David-John (Dave).

I like all four options but my favourite two are Isabel Matilda and Juliet Matilda.

I'm less keen on Poppy as to me it sounds more like a nickname. And not so sure about Sofia with your chosen middle name as it means both names end in -a.

I think Julia Matilda sounds better than Juliet Matilda (too many t sounds close together).
I also think Sophie Matilda rolls off the tongue better than Sophia Matilda.
Far too many Isabels around (at least amongst my daughters' friends).
Poppy Matilda... kind of works but also had me humming "Waltzing Matilda".
