Girls Name Shortlist Help Please

Hello Everyone,
I'm struggling to narrow down my shortlist of girls names.
My Son has a name in the Top 5. We didn't know this when we picked it, but surprisingly we've only met one other! So popularity isn't really a concern for us.

The names are:
• Isabel Matilda
• Juliet Matilda
• Poppy Matilda
• Sofia Matilda
Matilda is a definite for the middle name.
Which do you prefer and why?
If there is another first name that would sound better, please feel free to suggest.

Many Thanks.

Not keen on the spelling of Sofia. I think I prefer Juliet Matilda but it seems a bit of a mouthful to use both names with any of your choices. Matilda would be my first choice out of all of the names. I'm curious as to what your son's two names are.

Loooove Poppy Matilda, also like Sofia Matilda x

I really like Isabel, Sofia and Juliet, so any of those.

Not Poppy, it's a noise not a name and very twee.

Sofia Matilda is my favourite combination, very elegant sounding.

I dont use the dcs middle names unless I am angry...Joseph Benjamin get in here right now!! ..or being uber affectionate..hey, Joey Benny are you feeling better today?.

@dementedma Just personal choice. I view is that what is the point giving a middle name if your not going to use it. So I've always used my sons middle name. I love the two names together and so does he.

Sofia Matilda does not work. Two names ending in 'a'.Hmm Juliet is the nicest. How about Hazel?

MikeUniformMike · 17/08/2020 09:40

Sarah Jessica seems to not have done Ms Parker any harm.

I love Juliet! I also really like Sofia and Isabel spelt like that.

The only name I don't like is Poppy as I know a few people who call their grandfathers this and it also sounds like pop off (fart) to me.
