Summer/Nautical Inspired Names

I absolutely adore everything nautical and just love the warm summer weather.
Today while soaking up the lovely warm weather the UK is currently experiencing, I got thinking about some names.
The only one I came up with for a girl is Summer.

Could you please throw me some nautical/summer names for boys and girls?

Just as an aside, what are your views on naming a child after a parents love? Good idea or not?

Many thanks.

I once met a little french girl called Océane which I thought was beautiful. Roughly pronounced Oh-Say-Aan but with a french accent.

@aprilfools19, Cordeilia (Welsh goddess, it means jewel of the sea)
I disagree.
Cordeilia spelling?
Cordelia is from King Lear.

Cordelia is spelt Cordeilla by Geoffrey of Monmouth, Shakespeare’s source for Lear. Could that be it?

MikeUniformMike · 10/08/2020 13:33

@aprilfools19, that's Creiddylad not Cordelia.

MikeUniformMike hey? Did you even read it?

The first name that popped into my head is the Spanish name Marisol, which is a portmanteau of the words 'mar y sol' which literally means 'sea and sun' in Spanish!

You can't get more "Nautical" than Nelson or Horatio.

Ondine and Sandrine are lovely watery French names.

I know someone called Marine (french) which I think is pretty
