This seems like a good solid name, although not particularly common in the current generation. What do people think? We already have an Alexander and an Elizabeth. Thanks Smile

I really like Nicholas. Also love Nicola for a girl.

Starlight39 · 04/08/2020 14:36

I like it. Go for it if you like Nick - I know someone who prefers Nicholas and lots of people call him Nick automatically and he has to correct them a lot!

Icantfindanewname · 04/08/2020 14:36

Love it. Called my son it almost 11 years ago. Only one in the primary school. Really suits him and can be abbreviated by his "cool" friends. Although I do seem to spend an inordinate amount of my time inserting the "h" into various official forms...

BusySittingDown · 04/08/2020 14:36

No. Knickerless.

orangejuicer · 04/08/2020 14:39

I like it. Just make sure your surname isn't Hunt Wink

It's ok and works with your other names.

NoddingTulip · 04/08/2020 14:46

Love it. Have a 16yr old one, he's known as Nicky amongst family and friends although his school mates tend to call him Nico or Noo. I also have an Elizabeth and ds3 was very nearly an Alexander!

Topseyt · 04/08/2020 14:49

I like it. It is a good, timeless and strong name.

Go for it.

I really love Nicholas! If was on my list if DD had been a boy.

TheSandman · 04/08/2020 15:22

I was Christened Nicholas and hated it all my life -

I changed it when I left home. As a three syllable name it's easy to do sarcastically... and the endless "nickerless" jokes.... it getting shortened to Nick Nicky Nik Nic...

Horrible name.

finallychangedmyusername · 04/08/2020 15:27

It's really nice, goes well with the other two names. Alexander if one of my favourite names ever.

Good name and goes well with other sibling’s names,

Moonflower12 · 04/08/2020 18:41

I have a 22 year Nicholas. He is variously known as Nicky, Nick or Noo depending on how old he was when first met!
I wanted a name that was good for adulthood as well as childhood.
He likes his name.
