This seems like a good solid name, although not particularly common in the current generation. What do people think? We already have an Alexander and an Elizabeth. Thanks Smile

I know a 22 year old. He really likes his name.
He is 'Nick' except for job interviews etc.

Moonflower12 · 04/08/2020 21:26

@Chameleon2003
It must have had a bit of a resurgence about 1998 or it's my son you know!

VenusClapTrap · 04/08/2020 23:46

Always makes me think ‘knicker elastic’

unstableunicorn · 04/08/2020 23:50

Love it! Goes with the other two nicely too

KoalasandRabbit · 04/08/2020 23:51

I know one and he loves his name, insists on Nicholas. Very few people give him a nick name, if they do its Nick which he finds amusing as his Nick name is Nick. He's not 22. Grin

CeibaTree · 04/08/2020 23:56

I think it's a great name. It was the name of my first love who I think of fondly, so it is a very positive sounding name to me personally :)

tankflybos · 05/08/2020 00:00

Surprised at the Noo's. How is that a nickname for Nicholas?

lobsteroll · 05/08/2020 00:02

Love!

Cado12 · 05/08/2020 00:04

Nope. I hear knickerless.
He will get called Nick, Nicky, Little Nicky, , Nick Nack...

Lady at work is called Nicola and is nicknamed: ‘Nicki no knickers’!

MyNameHasBeenTaken · 05/08/2020 00:40

I like nicholas.
I would probably call him Cole as a pet name.

babydisney · 05/08/2020 02:27

Love it its one on my list but I would shorten to nick for every day

Greyblueeyes · 05/08/2020 03:07

Love it!

Willow2017 · 05/08/2020 03:41

Love it.

Sunshines123 · 05/08/2020 05:04

I have a friend with a Nicholas and they shorten it to Nico which is very cute and suits him and seems more modern then shortening to Nick

remainin · 05/08/2020 05:04

It's my DS's name so I'm biased!

PoodleMoth · 05/08/2020 08:20

Not keen, I think it's because there were so many when I was at school it seems dated. They all got knickerless at various points!

sunyla · 05/08/2020 08:30

I love Nicholas! Goes great with sibling names also.

sunyla · 05/08/2020 08:32

Not huge on the nickname on Nick though.
I love Nico or Cole as others have suggested.

OnyourOwn · 05/08/2020 08:52

Sorry but I find it an awful name, bland and wet.

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/08/2020 20:01

Love it (I've come across it twice in the past 4 years, in under 3s)

cptartapp · 05/08/2020 20:11

Bit wet IMO, in the same vein as Jonathan.

Galvantula · 05/08/2020 20:20

I like it.

It was on my list. :)

yikesanotherbooboo · 05/08/2020 21:10

I like it and like your other choices it is timeless. Nick, Nico or Nicol make easy nicknames if needed.

OhTheRoses · 05/08/2020 21:18

It's a l9vely name. A classic.

AntiAuntieAnty · 05/08/2020 21:56

I like it.
