Which do people prefer? The rest of the full name will be Samuel Holding. Thanks Smile

Alexander

Either. Adam is rarer, yet traditional.

James1989 · 02/08/2020 21:52

@ThroughThickAndThin01 met a few young Adams about strangely.

Adam. I prefer short names.

sh102 · 02/08/2020 22:02

I prefer Alexander

PinkPlantCase · 02/08/2020 22:02

All the Adams I knew in school were a bit dim Confused so I think that’s put me off.

I’d go with Alexander, though I agree that’s shorter name sounds better with your surname.

LarkDescending · 02/08/2020 22:30

I love both, but would pick Adam.

katy1111 · 02/08/2020 22:32

I love Alexander and Alex for short. Would seriously have considered it for my DS, if I didn't have two exes both named Alex Grin

AntiHop · 02/08/2020 22:33

Two of my favourite names! I'd go for Alexander as you can shorten it. I love Sasha for short.

monkeyonthetable · 02/08/2020 22:34

Alexander. I love it. Don't like Adam. All the ones I've met irl have been hard work.

katy1111 · 02/08/2020 22:35

One of my earliest memories is about the name Adam. My parents used to call me a little madam. Then when I started playschool I swore blind to my mum there was a little boy named 'Madam', obviously he was an Adam.

IndecentFeminist · 02/08/2020 22:35

Both lovely. Alexander goes better with the rest of the name though.

unstableunicorn · 02/08/2020 22:36

Like them both, Alexander slightly more since you can shorten it but I think Adam goes better with the rest. Can't really go wrong with either though

Winecheesesleep · 02/08/2020 22:55

Alexander is my favourite Smile

itsaratrap · 02/08/2020 22:56

Like them both. Adam probably nudges it.

CaviarAndCigarettes · 02/08/2020 22:58

Both excellent names, and love the middle name too.
I lean towards Adam

gillybombilly · 03/08/2020 00:15

Love them both, but Adam for me.

Porridgeoat · 03/08/2020 00:16

Adam is a bit 80s but not cool. Alexander is a timeless classic

123Dancewithme · 03/08/2020 00:46

Love Alexander!

BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze · 03/08/2020 00:53

Alexander is lovely. I’m not keen on Adam. I don’t know anyone under 45 called Adam.

peterpan765 · 03/08/2020 08:13

Alexander sounds much better than Adam

Onestepup · 03/08/2020 08:26

Alexander

Flymetothestars · 03/08/2020 10:40

Both really great names!

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/08/2020 21:06

Like both but prefer Adam as it's less common

finallychangedmyusername · 03/08/2020 21:32

I have one, so Adam! Alexander is also great though.
